The 2008 comedy Tropic Thunder has drawn some retroactive backlash in recent years, particularly in regards to Robert Downey Jr.’s character. In the Ben Stiller-directed film, RDJ plays Kirk Lazarus, a method actor who had his skin darkened to play a different Black character. Increased controversy over the use of “Blackface” in movies and TV shows has led to speculation that Tropic Thunder wouldn’t be able to be released today....

After nearly a two year hiatus, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia will soon be back as Rob McElhenney recently stated that writing for the upcoming Season 15 is set to begin this month. Always Sunny has not aired episodes since November 2019, so it’s likely that new episodes will air more than two years after the conclusion of Season 14 due to the writing only just now happening. McElhenney confirmed the good news in an interview with NME’s Alex Flood....

Kim Cattrall has joined the cast of How I Met Your Father. The information was confirmed by Variety. She will be a supporting cast member in the upcoming Hulu series. I’m not quite sure who posted this rumor first. Both Latinoreview.com and Collider.com posted stories today that George Miller would be directing Warner Brothers and DC Comics Justice League of America movie. Of course, this is purely speculative. The information is said to come from a “very reliable source”. And Miller could jump off the deck at any moment. I guess we’ll just have to wait and watch for this to be confirmed....

I am a huge Robert Rodriguez fan and admire Tarantino. So of course I went into this double feature with high expectations, and gladly those expectations were met. Robert Rodriguez is one of those directors who inspires us wannabe filmmakers because he basically came from nothing and knows how to make an entertaining flick. Grindhouse was an idea created by Rodriguez after finishing up Sin City. Since Sin City was a real collaborative effort that included three directors he thought why not do something else like that....
