Actor Taylor Kitsch has been reflecting on his sadly short-lived time spent on Barsoom in the 2012 sci-fi adventure flick, John Carter. While John Carter is considered one of the biggest box office bombs in history, audiences look back fondly on the movie. And it seems that Taylor Kitsch feels much the same. Speaking with Screenrant, Kitsch reminisced on the “fun” experience, saying that, despite the hurt he felt at the time, he “wouldn’t change a thing....

John Travolta and Nicolas Cage may work together again for the first time since 1997’s Face/Off. Both actors are circling two indie projects entitled Shrapnel and Sea Trial. Back in September, we reported that John McTiernan signed on to direct the action-adventure Shrapnel. The director was sentenced to a year in prison after perjuring himself in the wiretapping case against Anthony Pellicano. John McTiernan is appealing the sentence while currently out on bail....

There aren’t yet any details about the role Jon Bernthal will be playing, but information about the story has been revealed. The Bottoms will follow “interconnected systems of family structures, friends and neighbors, law enforcement, and criminality all intersecting in Shreveport, Louisiana in the early ’90s. Showtime has cast film and television star Joshua Jackson (Fringe, Dawson’s Creek) in its drama pilot The Affair. Jackson joins previously announced cast members Dominic West (The Wire, The Hours), Ruth Wilson (The Lone Ranger, Luther) and Maura Tierney (The Good Wife, ER). Jackson will play the role of Cole, a hard-edged cowboy who manages a ranch on the eastern tip of Long Island that has been in his family for generations....

A new official poster has been released for Jurassic World Dominion, uniting the stars of both the Jurassic World films and the original Jurassic Park for what’s described as the “epic conclusion” of the story. Happy Hogan, Jon Favreau’s character in the MCU, became a helpful character for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, however, things almost went very differently. According to Marvel boss Kevin Feige, Happy almost didn’t survive the events of Iron Man 3. For those who don’t remember, in Iron Man 3, Happy was severely injured in an explosion outside the TCL Chinese Theatre by one of Aldrich Killian’s (Guy Pearce) henchmen. He still was able to make a full recovery, but the initial script said that he was supposed to die....

Kodi Smit-McPhee, Chloe Moretz and Oscar-nominee Richard Jenkins will headline the cast of Let Me in, Matt Reeves’ adaptation of Let the Right One in, when principal photography begins this fall in New Mexico. The announcement was made today by Hammer Films Co-CEO’s Simon Oakes and Nigel Sinclair, as well as Overture Films CEO Chris McGurk and COO Danny Rosett. Director Reeves (Cloverfield) has cast Smit-McPhee (The Road) and Moretz ((500) Days of Summer) in the two lead adolescent roles of Owen and Abby for the eagerly awaited horror feature....

Actor Giancarlo Esposito (Once Upon a Time) has signed on for a leading role in the NBC pilot Revolution, which is being produced by J.J. Abrams and Supernatural creator Eric Kripke. The story is set in a chaotic world where all forms of energy have mysteriously disappeared, and centers on a group of characters trying to reunite with their loved ones during this chaotic time. Giancarlo Esposito will play Captain Neville, a hard-nosed military man who may be harboring a secret from his past....

Gil Kenan and Robert Zemeckis are reteaming for a big-screen version of Airman, a children’s adventure book by “Artemis Fowl” author Eoin Colfer. They recently worked together for Oscar-nominated Monster House. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kenan will direct the adaptation, which will be done using performance-capture technology. Zemeckis will produce with his ImageMovers partners Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey. The swashbuckling scientific story centers on Conor Broekhart, a young man born in a hot air balloon to a family close to the king who has a penchant for looking to the skies for inspiration....

I missed Happy Feet in theaters mostly because I was working during that period and I was a little bummed. For some reason ever since I saw the first trailer for the film I was compelled by it. I finally got a chance to see it and since it was on Blu-ray it was even better than seeing it at the theater. Happy Feet is an incredible film from the very beginning and even through the credits....

It seems impossible for the MCU to get any larger, but some fans are wondering whether it would be possible for the Men in Black franchise to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. To those who haven’t heard this theory, this seems absolutely insane. However, the origins of the Men in Black comics may overlap with and be under the Marvel umbrella. The entertainment industry is a hard one to break in. There are a lot of factors that make it so difficult, including the few working opportunities for someone who doesn’t have a lot of experience. However, the lack of funds to produce stories which can put the filmmakers’ names in the right rooms is probably one of the main reasons why. Because of that, the search for unconventional ways of getting funds is something quite normal for young and upcoming filmmakers to do to have money and make their stories, proving themselves and exposing their creative views....
