Harry Potter has been a part of children’s lives for many years now. Some might not have noticed how long ago exactly these stories came to the big screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Time Warner’s HBO will most likely not broker a deal giving Netflix access to more online movies. Netflix holds cable and Internet rights to films from Warner Bros., Twentieth Century Fox and Universal Pictures. HBO’s co-president Eric Kessler is focused on making content available online itself through its HBO Go service. “There is value in exclusivity,” Kessler stated. Users “are willing to pay a premium for high quality, exclusive content....

Revival series fever is in the air, with Mad About You close to jumping on board very soon. Stars Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt have closed deals with Sony Pictures Television. Series co-creator Danny Jacobson is also officially on board, leaving the next step up to finding a network to put it out, which shouldn’t be very hard to do at all. Roseanne and Will and Grace are currently successfully crushing the current television landscape as well as making old fans happy in the process....

After the blow-out that was the season premiere of Heroes, it’s almost hard to imagine that we have a whole season left ahead of us. In just two hours, the lives of every one of the main characters from the first two seasons had dramatically changed, not least of which was with the bombshell that Sylar is actually the third Petrelli brother. Director Bryan Singer announced at the RED User Forums that he will be using the RED EPIC 3D camera for his upcoming adventure Jack the Giant Killer. Here’s what the director had to say: It will be interesting to see how Bryan Singer plans to use natural light in the movie. We reported back in May that Jack the Giant Killer will start production in February, after it was originally slated to start this past July....

Despite recent rumors, James Bond producer Michael G. Wilson has revealed that they are not looking for a younger actor to play 007. Speaking during an “In Conversation” event celebrating 60 years of James Bond at London’s British Film Institute (via Deadline), Wilson put to bed the rumors that the next James Bond will be a lot younger than previous outings and explained why this is not a direction that the long-running franchise can take....

James Cox has signed on to direct the indie crime thriller Billionaire Boys Club. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will be based on the true story of a group of wealthy young men in Los Angeles during the ’80s who resorted to murders after their social and investment club went sour. The BBC was composed of young graduates of the Harvard School for Boys (known today as Harvard-Westlake School) who schemed to use investor money to support their lavish lifestyles....

Jason Segel is a highly successful actor, writer, producer, and comedian. Throughout the years, he has delivered several comedic performances, including years on the hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother. At the same time, Segel has proved his capabilities as a screenwriter. He was, as outlined by Rolling Stone, the genius behind the musical reboot of The Muppets in 2011, in which he also starred opposite Amy Adams. All is not well at the Jersey Shore as MTV’s latest spinoff, Jersey Shore 2.0, abruptly packs up and leaves the Atlantic City, NJ, house. The house used as a set was already in the pre-production process, having been fitted with cameras and sound equipment in preparation for a new cast, although the specifics were not disclosed. There has been much speculation regarding this abrupt withdrawal from the house, fueled by talk of mysterious black SUVs pulling up to the back and removing the production equipment that had been so carefully installed just days before....

In celebration of the daytime ABC soap’s 40th anniversary, All My Children is bringing back two of its alums: husband and wife Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos for two episodes Jan. 4 and Jan. 5. According to Variety, several other All My Children veterans, including La Rue, Julia Barr, Laurence Lau, Taylor Miller, James Mitchell, Leven Rambin and Eden Riegel will be part of the anniversary episodes. Its story line will have Pine Valley elected “The Most Congenial Town in America,” and Hayley (Ripa) and Mateo (Consuelos) will return to their hometown for Hayley to produce and host a documentary for her television show “The Wave,” as she interviews her family members, friends and citizens who all call Pine Valley home....

AMC’s The Walking Dead has been hit with a wrongful death lawsuit, over the passing of stuntman John Bernecker last summer. The late stuntman’s mother, Susan Bernecker, filed a wrongful death lawsuit on late Tuesday in Georgia’s Gwinnett County State Court, which names AMC Networks Inc., production company Stalwart Films and others as defendants, claiming that AMC pressured the show to keep the budget as low as possible, to maximize profits, which lead to cutting corners on safety procedures that ultimately lead to John Bernecker’s death....
