On Friday, a fire broke out on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II, which are being filmed simultaneously at Leavesden Studios in London, and British news outlets and some other news sources have been reporting that the fire “destroyed” much of the Hogwarts set. According to a spokesperson for the Harry Potter films this is simply not true....

While Game of Thrones fans still have several months left until the final season airs on HBO, fans will be able to get into the Thrones spirit at Major League Baseball ballparks all across the country this summer. Major League Baseball announced today that they will be continuing its partnership with the HBO hit series with Game of Thrones Nights at select MLB ballparks this summer. Nicholas Hoult is in talks to star as Jack in Bryan Singer’s adventure Jack the Giant Killer. The deal is expected to be finalized very soon. The British actor, who will next be seen in X-Men: First Class, joins Stanley Tucci, Bill Nighy, and John Kassir, who all signed on to the project two days ago. Very little is known about what will actually transpire in the upcoming horror film Nope, the newest feature by the multitalented director Jordan Peele (Key & Peele, The Twilight Zone). Previously, Peele directed back-to-back horror hits in the form of 2017’s Get Out, which explores how surface-level progressives often stir the insidious pot of systemic racism, and 2019’s Us, which features murderous doppelgängers and metaphorical stand-ins for oft-ignored marginalized communities. Jordan Peele has a way of making his films both terrifying and morally salient, and hopefully, Nope will continue this trend....

A Drake & Josh reunion has been set at the new iCarly. The Paramount+ revival series will bring in Josh Peck for the show’s second season, reuniting the actor with Miranda Cosgrove. Cosgrove, who plays Carly Shay in iCarly, also played Megan Parker in Drake & Josh. “Miranda is a good friend of mine, and when they announced the new iCarly, we chatted about finding something fun for me to play,” Peck told People of his appearance....

Jung_E is an admittedly odd film, a South Korean sci-fi hybrid of Blade Runner, Robocop, and Ex Machina seen through the prism of mother-daughter relationships. It’s a post-apocalyptic movie with detailed exposition and world-building, and yet mostly takes place in one lab. It has some exhilarating action sequences while also containing nearly one linear hour without any action at all. It has some over-the-top, comically quirky performances, but is also deeply emotional and serious....
