Ice Age: The Meltdown heated up the box office with a mammoth $70.5 million weekend, while audiences gave the cold shoulder to Sharon Stone, whose Basic Instinct 2 debuted with a paltry $3.2 million. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Ice Age sequel, from 20th Century Fox, took over the top box office spot from Universal’s Inside Man, which slipped to No. 2 in its second weekend with $15.7 million, raising its 10-day total to $52....

Jason Isaacs (Awake) has been tapped to play the lead role in USA Network’s six episode event series Dig, an action adventure drama from co-creators and executive producers Tim Kring (Heroes) and Gideon Raff (Homeland). Isaacs will play Peter, an FBI agent stationed in Jerusalem who, while investigating the murder of a young female archeologist, uncovers a conspiracy 2000 years in the making. Dig, from Universal Cable Productions (UCP) and developed by Keshet in association with BermanBraun, will shoot in Jerusalem as well as in other international locations....

A statement has been issued following reports of criminal charges getting leveled against actor Gary Busey. Reportedly, New Jersey police have charged Busey with multiple counts of criminal sexual contact along with separate counts of attempted criminal sexual contact and harassment.
