We reported last week that Christopher McQuarrie had completed the script for X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2 and now it seems the star has read it. io9 reported from a Repo Men press conference where actor Liev Schrieber, who played Victor Creed/Sabertooth in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, revealed he recently met with Hugh Jackman, who said he had read the script for the sequel. Our previous report revealed that production on X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2 would start in January 2011....

The new trailer has been released for I Love My Dad, a dark comedy film featuring comedian Patton Oswalt as a father who resorts to trickery in an attempt to build a relationship with his son. Set to arrive in theaters on Aug. 5, 2022, followed by an On Demand release set for Aug. 12, the film will be released by Magnolia Pictures. IFC (www.ifc.com) today unveiled a robust original series slate for the 2011/2012 season. The line-up includes a second season renewal of the network’s popular news show, Onion News Network, which received strong viewer response and critical acclaim throughout season one, currently airing. In addition, IFC has green lit four new original series: Commercial Kings from Reveille, Young, Broke & Beautiful produced by 44 Pictures, Whisker Wars produced by Thom Beers’ Original Productions, and Bullet in the Face, created and written by Alan Spencer....

Iron Fist star Finn Jones has declared that his co-star, Jessica Henwick, should be brought back for a leading role in Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings 2. Sonic the Hedgehog turned 31 this year (feel old yet?), and he threw the house out with a new game: Sonic Frontiers. While making copious press rounds to promote his sci-fi masterpiece Avatar, James Cameron has spilled a little bit about his plans for the upcoming Blu-ray release of the film. He has stated that the upcoming disc will arrive this summer and come packed with ten minutes of deleted scenes. He also stated that the first version to hit stores would not likely be in 3D. That news comes as a warning for true fans, as Cameron plans to re-release another edition of the Blu-ray in late 2010 that will fully support the new 3D Blu-ray players set to hit the market next year....

As reported by People, actress and singer Jennifer Hudson announced on Wednesday morning that her talk show, The Jennifer Hudson Show, has been renewed for a second season. The Dreamgirls star revealed the good news during a segment of the show with a song. “But we made it,” she belted out before declaring, “The Jennifer Hudson Show has been renewed for season 2. Don’t you want to run and shout?” she questioned the audience, who in response gave the star a standing ovation....

Jennifer Lopez will guest star in an episode of How I Met Your Mother to be broadcast this March on the CBS Television Network.
