The show’s overwhelming popularity seems to have won out, however, as writer Neil Gaiman agreed to write a second season. Filming for this new season finished in early March, and as of now, no possible release date has been announced. We’re not completely in the dark, however, as we know there will be some returning characters and actors, and a few new actors have also been announced. As for what we might expect the plot to be, well, that’s a little more complicated....

You can watch some brand new adventurs unfold from the characters of one hugely-successful video game. Halo Legends will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on February 9, 2010. This new episodic anthology will be released in a single-disc edition with no special features ($19.98 SRP), a two-disc special edition ($29.98 SRP) and a Blu-ray edition ($34.99 SRP). During a recent interview with ET Online, Hayden Christensen shared his interest in returning to the character of Darth Vader in his own spinoff series. The iconic villain hasn’t made a live-action appearance since his epic return in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. However, all of that will change with the upcoming release of Obi-Wan Kenobi, a new series streaming on Disney+. For the first time since 2005’s Revenge of the Sith, Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor will be reprising their roles as Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi for the show....

French film director Jean-Pierre Jeunet recently found himself stuck, trying and failing to get funding for his projects. There weren’t many studios out there who thought that the movies he wanted to make would be popular or successful, so he just had to keep looking. Finally, he managed to secure a deal with Netflix to direct another movie after almost a decade without making a new full-length feature film. This film, Bigbug, is a futuristic movie that takes a dive into robot-human relationships and uses the classic trope of robots wanting to take over the world in order to make a comedy....

In 2021, Chinese filmmaker Chloe Zhao made history. She became the second woman (after Kathryn Bigelow) and the first woman of color to win the Academy Award for Best Director for Nomadland, beating out big names like David Fincher. She also won Best Picture for the same film. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic’s less glitzy Oscar ceremony, Zhao was far from her roots. She was born in Beijing in 1982 to a well-off family....

Ever since Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham teamed up for their Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs & Shaw, many fans hoped that there would be another outing for the dynamic duo. However, it looks like that may be something that fans will have to continue to wish for, as an update by producer Kelly McCormick has suggested that there have been no discussions about more Hobbs & Shaw being on the cards in the near future....

FEARnet, cable television’s premiere horror, thriller and suspense channel, has given a series order to Holliston, an outrageous and offbeat multi-camera, half-hour buddy comedy series starring directors Adam Green (Hatchet, Hatchet II, Frozen) and Joe Lynch (“Knights of Badassdom,” Wrong Turn 2.) Created by Green, the sitcom is scheduled to start production later this year and will be the network’s first original production. The show, set in the town of Holliston, MA, follows the lives of Adam and Joe, two friends chasing the dream of becoming successful horror movie filmmakers while struggling to make ends meet and dealing with life and the opposite sex in their post-college jobs at a Boston cable access station where they also host a late night movie program called “The Movie Crypt....

Japanese Horror invades the U.S. in August! In a story from Fangoria, they report that Synapse Entertainment, Japan’s Toei Studios and Panik House Entertainment will release Teruo Ishii’s Horrors of Malformed Men and Nobuo Nakagawa’s Snake Women’s Curse on August 28. It may not have won an Oscar but it seems like movielovers will finally have a chance to see the politically charged documentary Street Fight. Recently, Variety reported that Street Fight, one of 2005’s docu Oscar nominees, has been acquired by Ironweed Films, a recently launched online subscription service that specializes in independent film. Helmed by Marshall Curry, Street Fight chronicles the bitter 2002 mayoral race in Newark between the allegedly corrupt incumbent Sharpe James and 32-year-old Rhodes scholar Corey Booker....

Jameela Jamil is willing to go the extra mile for her roles, even if it means getting injured in ways one wouldn’t even think possible. The actress spoke with Entertainment Weekly on the red carpet for the premiere of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law about her stunt work for the show, sharing the NSFW injury she sustained while shooting. “Oh, I did it all! I did it all,” Jamil said Tuesday of her involvement in the action sequences for the Disney+ Original series....

James Cameron knew he couldn’t afford to leave guns in the final cut of Avatar: Way of the Water. Because of increasing gun violence, Cameron decided to cut out gun sequences in Avatar: Way of the Water. According to Variety, the director felt he could not justify portraying violence with guns because of the pervasive and deadly gun shootings in the United States and didn’t want to add to the onscreen glorification of guns....

Back in September, James Cameron admitted that he wrote and scrapped a complete Avatar sequel script. In the new edition of Total Film (via Games Radar), Cameron explained a little more about the original sequel plan for Avatar and why he decided to abandon a 130-page script and a year’s worth of work to start all over again. It is clear that James Cameron wants to do his Avatar movies in a certain way to get them exactly how he wants them....

James Gunn has made it pretty evident that as part of his time at Warner Bros. Discovery working on DC projects, he would love to do something with Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. Following the announcement that Lady Gaga would be taking on the iconic villainess role in Todd Phillips’ upcoming Joker sequel, Gunn was asked to share his thoughts on the casting. It seems like he is very much on board with it and looking forward to seeing the result....
