Actress Heather Locklear (Spin City) will guest star in two episodes of the comedy Rules of Engagement later this season on the CBS Television Network. In the episodes, Locklear will play Barbara, the sister of Audrey (Megyn Price) who comes to town to visit. During her stay, Barbara announces that her marriage, which Audrey has always idealized, may be over. While Audrey has a difficult time dealing with the news, she is even more surprised to learn that her sister has agreed to go on a date with Russell (David Spade)....

Universal Pictures has finally settled on Jessica Chastain to play one of the female leads in Horizons. We reported last month Jessica Chastain was one of five finalists, along with Olivia Wilde, Brit Marling, Noomi Rapace and Olga Kurylenko. The story is set in a world where the Earth has become too toxic for humans, with society moving to cities built above the clouds. Tom Cruise plays one of the last men on Earth, a repair man who discovers a mysterious woman has crash landed on the planet....

For viewers of the original Game of Thrones series, it was often difficult to parse exactly who was the bad guy at any given moment. Some characters, like Ramsay Bolton, who skinned his enemies while still alive, were clearly evil from the beginning of their story arcs until the end. However, most other individuals in Westeros had a more complicated set of morals. Family allegiances were often in conflict with doing right by the whole of the kingdom, and personal vendettas constantly made characters act in ways that would traditionally be associated with villainy....

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Jaimie Alexander and Colm Feore have joined Marvel Studios adaptation of Thor that Kenneth Branagh is directing. Alexander and Feore will be joining Chris Hemsworth who is already cast as the title character. Tom Hiddleston, will play Loki, the god of mischief who is the movie’s villain. Natalie Portman is going to be Thor’s human love, Jane Foster. In Thor, Alexander will play Sif....

Comedian Jay Leno found himself in hot water over the weekend after joking about Jeremy Renner’s recent snowplow accident on Twitter. Leno, who broke several bones in a motorcycle accident of his own earlier this month, was making light of the incident when he brought up Renner’s scary New Year’s Day run-in with a snowplow. “I was riding my motorcycle up in Lake Tahoe and I came around the corner and bam, I crashed into Jeremy Renner’s snowplow,” the former late night host tweeted Friday....

The screenwriter behind Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers is returning to the small screen with some similar material. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jim Herzfeld has set up Changing Positions at NBC. The series will revolve around a Wall Street maven who loses it all, forcing him, his wife and two teen children to move back in with his wealthy and still-sexually-active parents in their lavish compound in the Hollywood Hills....

20th Century Fox and producer John Davis (Eragon) have bought into another young adult fantasy book series with Uglies, the Scott Westerfeld novel that hatches a trilogy. Davis will produce with his wife, Jordan, according to Variety. The futuristic tale taps into teen angst over conformity and acceptance. Kids are called Uglies until they reach 16 and get surgically transformed into the attractive Pretties, who move to the glamorous part of town....

According to The Hollywood Reporter Josh Hutcherson, Isabel Lucas, Connor Cruise and Edwin Hodge have joined up as Wolverines in MGM/UA’s reboot of Red Dawn. Also in this cast are Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck and Adrianne Palicki. This film is an update of the 1984 action movie, that saw a group of teenagers put together an insurgency after their town is taken over by Chinese and Russian soldiers. Hutcherson will play the role of Robert which was originally done by C....

When Jurassic Park hit theaters in the summer of 1993, it took audiences by storm, grossing a whopping $357 million at the box office. In this day and age, that may not seem like much, but if you adjust that figure for inflation, $357 million in 1993 is the equivalent of $707 million today. There is no doubt Jurassic Park changed the face of movies and movie-making, and now the fans can finally see this classic in high-definition, the way it was made to be seen....

Justin Timberlake says that the iconic “D**k in a Box” Saturday Night Live sketch was improved by FCC regulations. The Lonely Island song is one of their best-known, thanks to the help of Timberlake and the subject matter.
