The Walking Dead has found its Lucille. The real Lucille, not Negan’s trusty bat. It has been revealed that Hilarie Burton will play the character on an upcoming episode of the hit AMC zombie series. This brings some real-life flavor into the mix as Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays Negan on the show, is married to Burton. Aside from that, it means we are most definitely getting some flashbacks when season 10 returns....

HBO and the BBC’s His Dark Materials is proving to be a lot darker than the 2007 big screen adaptation of The Golden Compass. The 2007 movie was criticized for watering down Phillip Pullman’s source material and the new series looks like it is the complete opposite, even in the brief bit that we see in the latest full-length trailer. “In every child’s nightmare, there is an element of truth,” is the quote setting up the new series, which could end up being HBO’s answer to the gaping hole Game of Thrones is going to leave behind this weekend....

As fans get ready for The Walking Dead Season 8 premiere, which marks the show’s landmark 100th episode, one of the stars revealed his intriguing vision of how he’d want his character to die. Norman Reedus, who has appeared in 97 of the current 99 episodes of The Walking Dead, wouldn’t say in a recent interview if his character Daryl Dixon will in fact die in this upcoming season. But he was asked if he’s thought about how he’d like to see his character pass should that come to be....

In the HBO original movie, Life Support, Queen Latifah plays Ana Wallace, a woman who has been living with HIV for years. She contracted the disease from her husband, an intravenous drug user. The film focuses on living with the disease and Latifah is adamant that everyone gets tested for the virus. She says the more people who know they are infected, the better it will be to put an end to the spread of the virus....

There were a few eyebrows raised at the casting of Nintendo’s new animated Super Mario Bros.. movie earlier this month, with the choice of Chris Pratt as Mario coming under some heavy fire from the internet. However one of the better received names on the list was Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, and that may be a good thing as it looks like the character is getting his own spin-off movie with Rogen voicing the barrel throwing ape....

On May 9th, Roger Friedman of Fox411 reported that George Lucas was planning two more Star Wars movies, most likely for TV. Lucas alleged that these hour long live-action films would take place during the original Star Wars era, but would not have members of the Skywalker family as characters. Lucas stated, “They will be other people of that milieu.” Well, I got on the phone with the head of Lucas Film fan relations and know-it-all force behind everything Star Wars, Steven Sansweet, this morning to talk about the upcoming Celebration IV taking place in Los Angeles....

On Sept. 2, Netflix will premiere a trio of Ivy + Bean movies based on the New York Times bestselling book series by Annie Barrows and Sophie Blackall. Featuring Keslee Blalock and Madison Sky Validum as the titular leads, the series will consist of three movies which will all be made available for streaming on the same day. Each installment will have Ivy and Bean at the center but with completely different storylines....

According to The Hollywood Reporter, James Cameron is looking to continue his pioneering stereoscopic 3-D efforts – though not necessarily with a big action movie or visual effects-laden project like Avatar. “After Avatar, I want to do something a lot smaller,” Cameron said Thursday. On the director’s sonar is The Dive, a true story about the romance between controversial Cuban free diver Francisco “Pipin” Ferreras and Frenchwoman Audrey Mestre. Under his guidance, Mestre became a free diver who broke several world records but died in 2002 while competing....

The Late Late Show returned from a brief hiatus Monday night, and host James Corden wasted no time addressing the elephant in the room: his (now-reversed) ban from New York restaurant Balthazar. Corden was publicly banned from the upscale French restaurant by owner Keith McNally last week in an Instagram post, detailing two separate incidents where the late-night host was allegedly rude to waitstaff—leading McNally to refer to Corden as “the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago....

Jamie Kennedy has been tapped to star opposite Lee Majors in Fox’s single-camera comedy pilot Me & Lee?. The show centers on a guy (Kennedy) with chronic back pain who gets more than he bargained for when he undergoes “bionic” back surgery in a secret lab run by actor Lee Majors (playing himself) in the basement of his Beverly Hills mansion. The Hollywood Reporter adds Majors built the lab after becoming obsessed with bionics after his title show went off the air....

Are you Kidding? Nope! Jim Carrey is set to make his return to television for the first time since he was on In Living Color back in the early 1990s. Deadline reports that Carrey is set to star in the new comedy Kidding for Showtime, which will be a half hour series. The new comedy reunites Carrey and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind director Michael Gondry, who is locked in to direct the 10-episode series....
