Last year’s American Idol winner Kris Allen recently took a trip to the ravaged areas of Haiti affected by the tragic earthquake and American Idol viewers will get to see the results of this trip on the show’s new results show, which airs this Thursday, February 25 at 8 PM ET on Fox. Joining Allen was United Nations Foundation CEO Kathy Calvin and both Allen and Calvin recently held a conference call to talk about their experiences in Haiti....

Syfy announced a Season 2 renewal for their hit series Krypton today, coming just one day before the highly-anticipated Season 1 finale airs Wednesday, May 23 at 10 PM ET on Syfy. The cable network didn’t announce how many episodes will be in Season 2, but it’s possible that it could have the same 10-episode count as the first season. The renewal was likely an easy call for Syfy, given that Krypton is one of the most-watched shows on the network....

Last season, actress Meganlyn Echikunwoke came aboard to play the DC Comics character Vixen in an Arrow guest starring role, and she also signed on to voice the character in CW Seed’s animated web series Vixen. While we don’t know if Vixen will be back for Arrow this fall, The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow is bringing in a different version of this superhero. Actress Maisie Richardson-Sellers has come aboard to play this new version of Vixen in Legends of Tomorrow, although she won’t be replacing Meganlyn Echikunwoke....

Though he is only three movies in, director Jordan Peele has already proven himself to be one of the most exciting modern moviemakers. While we await the release of his latest offering, the sci-fi horror Nope, Peele has revealed that he could one day return to the movie that started it all; 2017’s Oscar-winning Get Out. Speaking with AP News, Peele hinted that, while nothing is in the pipeline yet, Get Out 2 could someday arrive on our screens....

Glee star Grant Gustin has landed the coveted role of Dr. Barry Allen, a.k.a. Flash, in Season 2 of Arrow. The actor will appear in three episodes this season, Episode 8, Episode 9 and Episode 20, the last of which will serve as a back-door pilot for a potential spin-off series we first reported on back in July....

HBO has signed on Pulitzer Prize-winner Richard Russo to develop a drama about the Catskills Gas Rush. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Russo is writing the script and is executive producing with Mark Johnson and Will Gluck. The untitled drama is based on a 2008 article in New York Magazine by David France, who will serve as a consulting producer on the project. The Catskills are believed to hold the largest reservoir of natural gas ever discovered in America....

It seems that some Germans aren’t too thrilled with Quentin Tarantino’s new film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a leaked copy of Quentin Tarantino’s script for Inglorious Bastards has gotten out and one German journalist predicts it will create the same kind of backlash that Valkyrie did in Germany. “All the German historians and critics who were left gasping for breath by Tom Cruise and his worthy attempts will be so shocked by ‘Inglorious Bastards’ that they will savage it on the spot,” wrote Tobias Kniebe, the film editor of Suddeutsche Zeitung....

We recently reported that Warner Bros. had issued a release date for the sequel to a 2008 summer hit and now it seems that some changes could be coming to the film. Deadline New York is reporting that director Brad Peyton is making a deal to direct the Untitled Journey to the Center of the Earth Sequel and the star of the first film, Brendan Fraser, might not reprise his role for the sequel....
