Greenberg’s Juno Temple is one busy actress, having just booked three roles: According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 21-year-old Temple joins the ensemble cast of Dirty Girl, the drama from Killer Films in which she plays the title character, a notorious high school slut who runs away with her closeted gay class partner to drive from Oklahoma to California to find the father she’s never met. Milla Jovovich, William H. Macy, Dwight Yoakam and Mary Steenburgen round out the cast of the movie, which Abe Sylvia is directing from his own script....

Kate Hudson recently confessed that she’s open to joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside her famous brother. Hudson’s brother Wyatt Russell has joined MCU as John F. Walker, aka Captain America, in the series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The actress, primarily seen in rom-com films, is not closing her doors on starring in one of Marvel’s superhero movies. Kate Hudson’s brother, Wyatt Russell, joined MCU last 2021 through the TV miniseries created by Malcolm Spellman titled The Falcon and the Winter Soldier....

Last week, we reported that Paramount’s Untitled Jack Ryan Project suffered yet another setback, when director Jack Bender pulled out. The studio has moved quickly to get this reboot back on track, and is in talks with Kenneth Branagh to take the helm. Last March, we reported that Paramount put the project on hold due to script issues. Screenwriter David Koepp took over the writing duties back in April. Chris Pine is attached to star as Jack Ryan, but the delays forced Paramount to move the actor’s Star Trek 2 into production before this reboot....

The new summer action comedy Killers will be released on both DVD and Blu-ray on September 7. The standard DVD will be priced at $29.95 SRP and the BD will be priced at $39.99 SRP. You can bring home the original 1933 beloved classic in high definition for the first time this September. King Kong will make it’s debut on the Blu-ray format on September 28. This new BD set will be priced at $34.99 SRP and will come in the Digibook format with a 32-page book filled with photos, trivia and more. This newly-remastered film will also contain new footage that wasn’t shown in its 1933 original run and the 1956 theatrical re-release as well....

Former Nickelodeon star Kirk Baily has passed away. Per TMZ, the actor, who’s perhaps best known for his role as Kevin “Ug” Lee in the 1990s Nickelodeon show Salute Your Shorts, died over the weekend after a battle with lung cancer. His family says Baily had just been diagnosed six months earlier. He was 59 years old. Salute Your Shorts spanned two seasons which aired on Nickelodeon from 1991-92, though reruns kept it popular with kids of the era for the next several years....

Knives Out is a fun whodunit with a comedic twist, a surprise 2019 hit that grossed $311 million on a $40 million budget and got an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay. The modern murder mystery was so well received that Netflix bought the rights for a sequel, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, which was met with great acclaim at the Toronto International Film Festival. Eight years after going off the air, Showtime is bringing the iconic LGBTQIA series The L Word back with a new season currently in development. Ilene Chaikin, who co-created the series with Michele Abbott and Kathy Greenberg, will serve as executive producer, and another writer with ties to the LGBTQIA community being sought to run the production. Original L Word stars Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig and Leisha Hailey will return to serve as executive producers on the new show and reprise their roles as Bette, Shane and Alice, respectively, who will be paired with an entirely new group of women....

I wasn’t quite sure how I felt after watching Jared and Jerusha Hess’s latest film “Gentleman Broncos.” There were moments in the film where I was absolutely dying with laughter and then there were other moments were I felt strange, a bit awkward and wasn’t really sure what to think. It wasn’t until days later that I started to re-think what I had seen and slowly began to enjoy it. That’s not to say that it is not worth seeing, on the contrary, I think it is the type of film that you need to see several times before you begin to understand it and really enjoy it....

Warner Bros. released the highly-anticipated Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 in theaters across the country for midnight screenings last night, and according to Variety, the sequel took in a massive $24 million from these late-night shows. The movie was shown in approximately 3,700 theaters, a record count for midnight screenings. $1.4 million of the total ticket sales came from IMAX screenings, breaking The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’s $1 million IMAX tally....
