How I Met Your Mother is a show that hasn’t exactly aged well — take this list from BuzzFeed, for example — but those that got to enjoy the series when its off-putting jokes were more widely accepted still hold some nostalgia for a project that certainly had its endearing moments and bouts of brilliant storytelling. Those that can look past the obviously archaic sexism and fatphobia might still find an enjoyable appearance within Ted Mosby’s journey, as he struggles through various heartaches en route to his eventual wife, the titular mother....

There have been countless new installments in the Star Wars franchise in recent years. Aside from the massively successful sequel trilogy, which made over $4 billion, several television series have been released that narrow the galactic scope of the films down to singular characters. Perhaps the most noteworthy was The Mandalorian, which stars Pedro Pascal as the titular masked crusader. Additionally, Disney+ has released The Book of Boba Fett, a series set after Return of the Jedi that focuses on the bounty hunter Boba Fett, portrayed in the series by Temuera Morrison....

Frozen fans everywhere are eager to know when they will be able to return to Arendelle to catch up with Elsa, Anna, Christophe, Olaf and Sven. In a recent interview, Idina Menzel has made it clear that no matter how long it takes for Frozen 3 to be made, she will always be up to return and voice Elsa, but as of yet, she has not heard anything on whether development on a new movie has begun at all....

J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot production company will be bringing robots to a much different time in a new film project. Heat Vision Blog is reporting that Paramount has secured the rights to the graphic novel Boilerplate: History’s Mechanical Marvel for Abrams to produce. It was said that the book by Paul Guinan and Anina Bennett is a hybrid of a graphic novel and a picture book and tells the tale of history’s first robot who fought alongside Teddy Rooosevelt, traveled to the South Pole and even was involved in the silent film business in a story that spans the late 19th and early 20th centuries....

We’re still waiting to see what happens with the future of the DCU as far as some of DC’s most popular characters are concerned. Perhaps most notably, that includes the Man of Steel, as played by Henry Cavill. It was just recently when Cavill made his long-awaited return to the role of Superman with a surprise appearance in Black Adam. Dwayne Johnson was hoping to expand upon the Superman vs. Black Adam rivalry in follow-up films, though according to the rumor mill, Black Adam 2 won’t be moving forward after all....

Screen Media Films has dropped the first teaser for Jeepers Creepers: Reborn. The fourth installment of the Jeepers Creepers horror movie series, the latest sequel is written by Sean Michael Argo and directed by Timo Vuorensola. The first look teaser trailer is very brief, but it packs a lot of action into just 15 seconds. You can watch the footage below. A plot synopsis for the movie was previously released. It reads, “The film unfolds as the Horror Hound festival holds its first ever event in Louisiana, where it attracts hundreds of geeks, freaks and die-hard horror fans from far and wide....

Jennette McCurdy continues to speak out about the abuse she endured from her mother, Debbie, growing up. McCurdy opened up about the “decades of torment, exploitation and manipulation” to Red Table Talk co-hosts Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield Norris in a new episode of the Facebook Watch series. While promoting her new book, I’m Glad My Mom Died, McCurdy shared a disturbing email she received from Debbie, who died of cancer in 2013....

Cowboy Bebop star John Cho has spoken out about the show prematurely getting canceled. After spending year in development, the live-action Cowboy Bebop series finally premiered on Netflix in November. By December, it was reported that Netflix had canceled the show after its one and only season, leaving those happy with the new series disappointed to see it not moving forward. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Cho addressed Cowboy Bebop getting the boot....

Michael Chabon is best known to superhero fans for his novel The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, but what isn’t known by many is that he turned in a draft screenplay for Spider-Man 2. In honor of the upcoming publication of Chabon’s Maps and Legends, McSweeneys.net has posted up a copy of Chabon’s take on Marvel’s web-slinging superhero. Chabon was the third out of four screenwriters who worked on the Spider-Man 2 script, and while his version wasn’t the final one used, he did receive “screen story” credit....

The first trailer has been released for the highly-anticipated sequel Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, which rides into theaters nationwide on February 17, 2012. A depressed and suicidal young quadriplegic finds hope in a Capuchin monkey. Based on a true story, Gigi & Nate follows a family’s journey after a tragic event changes the course of their lives. The film has admirable traits but strays into sappy melodrama with a contrived third act. A poorly written antagonist derails the narrative with heartless and overblown machinations. The emotional capital established in the beginning fades completely. That said, the moral of the story has merit....

Though it went from being a big blockbuster movie release to an 8-episode ABC TV series, there is still a lot of excitement for Marvel’s Inhumans, which will debut in IMAX theaters before hitting the small screen. The show is currently in production, and we have the latest sneak peek from the set. These images are cool in that they show us Gorgon for the first time, as played by Eme Ikwuakor....

Syfy debuts its brand new series Defiance tonight, April 15, with the Pilot episode airing at 9 PM ET. The show is set in a future St. Louis, where several alien races have arrived and transformed the planet, with both species trying to find a way to co-exist peacefully. Series stars Grant Bowler (Jeb Nolan) and Stephanie Leonidas (Irisa) recently held a conference call where they discussed their roles on this innovative show set in a world that fans can also explore through a video game which takes place in San Francisco....

Entertainment Weekly reported today that the people behind ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy has let go of Brooke Smith, a.k.a. Dr. Erica Hahn. Entertainment Weekly talked with Smith today who thinks the decision to end her character did not come from creator Shonda Rhimes, but rather an order that came down from the network. According to a source, the suits “had issues” with both the explicit direction Callica was taking (think: undiscovered country, south of the border, etc....

Ever since Jamie Lee Curtis starred in the original Halloween movie in 1978, the franchise has gone through multiple reboots, creating a handful of alternate timelines with their own unique casts of characters.
