Jussie Smollett appeared in court today to formally enter a plea of “not guilty” to multiple felony charges against him. The Empire actor is charged with 16 counts of disorderly conduct for allegedly staging a physical assault which supposedly took place on January 29. Smollett was arrested on February 21 as investigators uncovered evidence implicating the actor’s role in the crime. Out on $100,000 bail, Smollett is looking at more than three years in prison and a $25,000 fine for each count if the court finds him guilty....

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has offered further explanation as to why the part of T’Challa has not been recast for the upcoming MCU sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. In an interview with Empire, Feige states that it was simply “much too soon” to bring in another actor as the Black Panther character following the untimely death of star Chadwick Boseman. Harking back to the words of the late, great Stan Lee, Feige and the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever creative team concluded that, rather than recast the role, the best approach for the sequel was to reflect the feeling in the real world after the loss of Boseman....

The Discovery+ docuseries House of Hammer, which details allegations of abuse against actor Armie Hammer, will be undergoing an edit due to questions over the veracity of a piece of evidence presented.
