Acclaimed 24 star and co-executive producer Kiefer Sutherland has signed a production deal with Twentieth Century Fox Television, it was announced today by Twentieth Century Fox Television Presidents Dana Walden and Gary Newman. Under the terms of the new deal which is effective in June, Sutherland will hire a development executive and begin to develop and executive produce series programming for all the networks through his newly created banner. The deal also calls for Sutherland to remain in his award-winning role of Jack Bauer for additional seasons, as well as be named an executive producer on the drama alongside Joel Surnow, Robert Cochran, Howard Gordon and Evan Katz....

The story of the American Soldier murdered in Forth Hood, Texas is coming to Netflix. Netflix just released the trailer of I Am Vanessa Guillen, the story of 20-year-old Vanessa Guillen, a United States soldier stationed at Fort Hood whose disappearance in April 2020 caused a nationwide commotion. The documentary, directed by Christy Wegener, is set to be released on Netflix on November 17, 2022. Before her disappearance, Guillen had told her parents that she was being sexually harassed by a Seargent in Fort Hood and that several other female soldiers had reported similar incidents, but their complaints had missed dismissed....

Moviehole confirmed today that a big screen version of The Greatest American Hero is being put on the fast track with a July start date. Director Stephen Herek has sent out a casting call to Hollywood’s top agents. Apparently he is looking for some big names to play Hinkley and Maxwell. Personally, I think Mark Hamil and Harrison Ford in the roles would make this a must see film. The script was written by Chris Matheson and Ryan Rowe....

Following Patrick Stewart’s run as Professor X in Fox’s X-Men movies, James McAvoy took over the role of Charles Xavier starting with 2011’s X-Men: First Class. He’d go on to play Xavier in three sequels, culminating with Dark Phoenix in 2019. That movie series has since finished following Disney’s acquisition from Fox, as Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has confirmed that the plan is to reboot the X-Men in the MCU at some point....

Shortly after we learned that Alf star Minhaly “Michu” Meszaros has passed away, another 1980s TV icon has passed. Janet Waldo, who provided the voice for Judy Jetson in the hit animated series The Jetsons, has also passed away at the age of 96. The actress’ death was confirmed by her daughter, Lucy Lee, who revealed that her mother passed on Sunday afternoon. Lucy Lee confirmed to ABC News that her mother had been diagnosed with a benign yet inoperable brain tumor five years ago....
