Fox is in early discussions to bring back the hit show 24 as a limited series, with star Kiefer Sutherland in talks to reprise his Emmy-winning role as Jack Bauer. It isn’t known how many episodes this limited series will run for, since development is in the very early stages. It is believed that Howard Gordon, who served as executive producer on 24 before moving on to create the hit Showtime drama Homeland, is on board to supervise the writing of a brand new storyline....

British actress Gemma Arterton has made a huge name for herself in a very short amount of time. She first gained attention for her role as MI6 agent Strawberry Fields opposite Daniel Craig’s James Bond in Quantum of Solace. Then, earlier this year she appeared in Clash of the Titans, the extremely successful remake of the classic ’80s mythology film, starring opposite Sam Worthington. Now Arterton can be seen along side Jake Gyllenhaal in the new Jerry Bruckheimer produced film, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which is based on the beloved video game and opens in theaters on May 28th....

Ghostbusters: Afterlife had a hard run in during the final week before its release in cinemas, with a number of critics slamming the “fan-service” movie for mostly no reason other than it set out please fans of the franchise. However, blowing away opening weekend box office predictions, it seems that the appetite for a return to the 80’s franchise is just what post-pandemic cinemas needed and rather than busting ghosts the movie managed to bust a few naysayers with over $60 million taken worldwide....

Knives Out was an unexpected hit in 2019, and Rian Johnson’s Glass Onion has improved on it in every way possible. After being given a hugely successful, if very limited, theatrical release, the sequel has become Netflix’s third most-watched movie within 10 days of release with over 200 million hours watched since its debut on the platform Glass Onion drew very respectable 82.1 million hours in its first two days on release just before Christmas, which has been in addition to 127....

The title for the upcoming monster mash sequel, Godzilla vs. Kong 2, has seemingly been revealed courtesy of several production gifts. Images of which have now made their way online. Thus, the sequel to last year’s blockbuster movie will be titled simply…wait for it…Godzilla and Kong. The title suggests that the movie will once again feature both the legendary titans Godzilla and King Kong, only this time, they will not be at each other’s throats....

It was recently reported that a Game of Thrones sequel series is in the planning stages with Kit Harington set to star. The series would focus on Harington’s Jon Snow in the years after the final season of Game of Thrones, and that means that those who managed to survive the series could potentially appear in the spinoff. That would include Gwendoline Christie, who shined in the original series in her popular role as Brienne of Tarth....

A newly released behind-the-scenes look at Halloween Ends teases the final battle between Michael Myers and Laurie Strode. Released via the official Twitter account for Halloween Ends, the footage finds returning star Jamie Lee Curtis discussing what it’s like to bring the character’s decade-spanning journey to an end after all these years. “It’s a movie about a final reckoning between Laurie and Michael,” Curtis says in the clip, before revealing why she believes Michael Myers has remained a horror icon for so many years....

As rumors suggested, it appears that Henry Cavill has filmed a cameo appearance for The Flash, but no one might ever see it. Since Cavill’s return as Superman in Black Adam’s post-credits scene, the buzz has been all about how this will be a driving force in the DCU’s future output, and a cameo in The Flash has been a big part of that belief. Now it certainly does look like Cavill has been in the cape again for another cameo appearance, but where that leads is another question....

In a story from Variety, Henry Selick (Coraline) is returning to Disney where he began his animation career at Disney in the late ’70s. He has signed an exclusive long-term deal to make stop-motion features for Disney/Pixar. The reunion also is a very personal one, putting Selick in business with long-time friends John Lasseter (Cars) and director Brad Bird (Ratatouille). “I first met John Lasseter when we were classmates at CalArts,” Henry Selick stated....

The Good An interesting show with an even more interesting concept. The Bad No extra features at all. While I doubt that a show about women being essentially sold so that a group of brothers can entice their workers and raise morale would get made today, I was impressed with how Here Come the Brides: The Complete First Season somewhat sensitively handled the issue at the time. Starting in 1968 and only running for two seasons, this show chronicles the Bolt brothers exploits as they try and make the best of their situation....

Season 6 of House of Cards will arrive later this year, marking the first season without star Kevin Spacey, who was fired from the hit Netflix show after multiple men came forward with accusations of sexual misconduct against the actor. Spacey’s former on-screen wife, Robin Wright, took to social media to tease Season 6 with a Fourth of July message to America, which included her fourth wall break from the very end of the final episode of Season 5: #MyTurn....

There are lots of great movies about adolescence and growing up, including many classic young adult book-to-movie adaptations that explore the transition from childishness to maturity. Generally, in these films, we expect to see teenagers gradually acting more like adults and not the other way around. If you’re wondering what the opposite would look like, screenwriter Diablo Cody has got you covered. According to Film Journal International, Cody came up with the concept for Young Adult when interviewers kept inquiring about why she wrote almost exclusively young-adult films, including Juno in 2007....

Iron Man 2 is best described by this board game I used to play as a kid called Jenga. The game had a bunch of little pieces that held up the whole puzzle, but was wobbly at best, and if you pulled out one piece - the entire thing comes crumbling down. Director Jon Favreau and screenwriter Justin Theroux had a lot to accomplish in this film. Besides being a sequel, they were tasked with laying the groundwork for the onslaught of Marvel adaptations to come; namely Thor, Captain America, and The Avengers....
