You can bring home a John Carpenter action flick in 1080p this March. John Carpenter’s Ghosts of Mars will be released in Blu-ray on March 31. A very familiar voice will be heard in the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie. Set to release on Netflix in February, the new film serves as a sequel to the original installment of the slasher movie franchise that was released by director Tobe Hooper in 1974. That film began with an opening narration by John Larroquette, and per Variety, it’s now been confirmed that Larroquette is coming back nearly five decades later to serve as the narrator once again for the new film....

Joker: Folie À Deux, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 hit Joker, just received an official release date. The follow-up film is set to release on Oct. 4th, 2024, exactly five years after the original film, according to reports from Deadline. The initial Joker movie was released in the same month in 2019 and broke October’s domestic opening record with $96.2 million, eventually raking in over $1 billion worldwide....

Jon Favreau gave new hopes to fans of Marvel’s Ant-Man that the shrinking hero will be a part of The Avengers, even though Edgar Wright’s take on the character hasn’t even been put on Marvel’s official schedule yet. Favreau told USA Today that while the line-up of the Avengers has changed throughout the years of the comic “the ones Marvel is talking about now are Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Ant-Man and Iron Man....

The highly anticipated new series Koala Man recently released the official trailer, with MovieWeb proud to present the latest look at the upcoming show. Koala Man follows a father who transforms into the titular hero when his city is in danger, to varying results. During the weekend of August 12 to August 14, 2022, actor Gary Busey was in Cherry Hill, NJ attending the fan-fueled, horror-themed Monster-Mania Convention Center at the Doubletree Hotel. Somewhere around this time, Cherry Hill police responded to a report of a sex offense at the hotel after receiving multiple complaints involving at least two victims. After investigating the incident, detectives charged the Silver Bullet actor on four offenses: two counts of criminal sexual contact in the fourth degree, one count of attempting criminal sexual contact in the fourth degree and one disorderly conduct count of harassment....

The CW took over Supergirl duties for season 2 after the show was dropped by CBS. That has worked out quite well so far, but we’ll see if they can stick the landing as the season 2 finale is just around the corner. The Batman is set to arrive in theaters in less than a month, and marketing is in full swing for the much-anticipated movie. Robert Pattinson, who is playing a younger, angrier version of the character, recently shed light on Batman’s efforts to rid Gotham City of crime. In The Batman, the titular vigilante is not really seen as a hero by the people of Gotham, and Pattinson attributes it to Batman’s rage and lack of experience....

Although fans of the TV series Grimm said their goodbyes to the show last year, it turns out that there’s much more story in the show’s universe left to tell. NBC is now actively developing a Grimm Spin-Off series for the show, which will present an entirely new lead character for the series to follow. Word is, this protagonist will be female, providing a different take on how this Grimm will be taking on the heinous creatures only she can see....

A spin-off of Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law was created by Michael Ouweleen and Erik Richter for Cartoon Network’s late-night programming block, Adult Swim in 2001. The series follows a cast of eccentric characters, most of whom had originally been featured in past Hanna-Barbera cartoons, most notably Birdman and the Galaxy Trio, as they go about their business at the Sebben & Sebben law firm....
