Bad news continues to roll in as soap opera star John Callahan, best known for his role on the long-running series All My Children among many other popular soaps, has sadly passed away. According to a representative for the television star, Callahan suffered a massive stroke at his Palm Desert, California home on Friday and was later placed on life support at a Rancho Mirage hospital. Because of new hospital restrictions to protect staff and patients, Callahan’s family members were only able to see him for “a short while” before the actor died on Saturday....

IMAX Corporation today announced that internationally acclaimed director John Woo and producer Terence Chang’s next film, the action epic Flying Tigers, is set to be digitally re-mastered into The IMAX Experience. Anyone who’s wanted to own Dorothy Gale’s iconic blue and white gingham dress, initially worn by Judy Garland in the classic 1939 Wizard of Oz movie, now has a chance to be able to. From April 23 to 29, the address will be available for viewings at Bonhams New York. Afterward, it will be moved to Los Angeles to be auctioned off. TBS has ordered a second season of its unique new competition series King of the Nerds. The series, which currently airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) on TBS, is set to wrap its first season on March 7. The network has ordered eight episodes for the second season of King of the Nerds, with plans for the show to return in 2014. After suffering from a heart attack on Thursday, Award-winning TV and radio host Larry King was hospitalized for the weekend. Fortunately, he has been recovering rather quickly from the health scare, and is scheduled to go home today. For the last six months, King has reportedly been suffering from breathing issues, but it seems the underlying severity of his problems weren’t diagnosed by doctors. He was planning to check himself into the hospital on Thursday for an angiogram, but went into cardiac arrest while getting ready at home....

Lee Chang-dong has been one of South Korea’s top directors for decades now, although he only just received mainstream attention with the release of his 2018 movie Burning, starring Yoo Ah-in and Steven Yeun. Although Burning was, per GQ, the first Korean movie to land the Oscar shortlist, cementing Lee’s influence globally, he has sustained an impressive career that started in 1997. Even outside his work as a filmmaker, he was also a novelist and writer and served in the South Korean government as the Minister of Culture for a year....

George Lucas, the man responsible for creating a galaxy far, far away, popped by the set of Game of Thrones season 8 to pay a visit to the guys who brought Westeros to life. Hannibal, based on the iconic screen villain Dr. Hannibal Lecter as perfected by Anthony Hopkins in the Academy Award winning film Silence of the Lambs, is coming to the small screen in a one-hour weekly thriller from Bryan Fuller (of Pushing Daisies and Wonderfalls fame). NBC has made the series direct-to-order, with 13 episodes heading into production soon. NBC has released the following logline for the show. At this time, it doesn’t appear that Clarice Starling (a role originated by Jodie Foster and later taken over by Julianne Moore) will play a part in the series unless they plan on bringing her in should the show last past season one....

First Dan Aykroyd leaked news of a possible Ghostbusters 3 while promoting his Wine in Toronto. Then the trades announced that The Office scribes Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky were attached to write the screenplay. Now, Harold Ramis has come forward to confirm that the sequel is definitely moving ahead with Judd Apatow and Bill Murray possibly involved. Over the weekend, a report surfaced that actor Harrison Ford was in talks to return as Rick Deckard in the Untitled Blade Runner Project. It seems that is not the case, though, according to producer Andrew A. Kosove, who shot down the report earlier today. Here’s what he had to say below. It still isn’t known yet if the Untitled Blade Runner Project will be a prequel or a sequel to the 1982 classic Blade Runner....

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 will bring the Hogwarts saga to a close in theaters on July 15, and there has been speculation about the ending as of late.
