A few weeks ago, AMC released a new video that confirmed Breaking Bad villain Gus Fring will be returning in Better Call Saul Season 3. Since Better Call Saul is set years before the events of Breaking Bad, it opens up the possibility for any number of Breaking Bad stars to return and reprise their characters, regardless of their fate on the show, and ever since Better Call Saul started, fans have wondered when Walter White (Bryan Crantson) and/or Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) would surface....

The White House Correspondents’ Association dinner returned last Saturday night after being sidelined by the pandemic in 2020 and 2021. It featured President Joe Biden as the first commander in chief to accept an invitation in six years. There, Biden and others made several comedic jabs, poking fun at such things as Biden’s criticism, Fox News, and the 2022 Oscars Ceremony. The correspondents’ dinner mixed celebrities like Martha Stewart, Drew Barrymore, Brooke Shields, Pete Davidson, Kim Kardashian, and Caitlyn Jenner with large watches of government officials such as Secretary of State Antony Blinken....

MTV is reporting that Joel Silver (The Matrix) wants to make the redux of Logan’s Run in 3D. The 1976 original starred Michael York, Jenny Agutter and Farrah Fawcett. It was based on a 1967 novel by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson. The premise sees a future society that demands the death of everyone upon reaching a certain age. Anyone who veers from that destiny is dubbed a “runner” and is hunted by operatives known as Sandmen....

Piranha 3D screenwriter Josh Stolberg has revealed that he is writing a secret Hasbro project along with co-writer Bobby Florsheim. Here’s what Josh Stolberg had to say about this untitled Hasbro project, which will tie in several of the toy company’s brands. It seems like DC Comic’s greatest superhero team won’t be filmed in the land down under. The newly re-titled Justice League: Mortal won’t be filming in Sydney, according to the Sydney Morning Herald. It seems like the film won’t be eligible for Australia’s film production rebate. The Australian government offers a 40% refundable tax offset to films which have a significant enough Australian involvement. However, the director of the equity section of the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance, Simon Whipp, claims that Justice League: Mortal is an American story that will be performed with American accents, even though two of its stars (Megan Gale and Teresa Palmer) and its director (George Miller) are Australian....

Keith Robinson is set to star in Fox’s drama pilot, The Apostles. The show focuses on a close-knit group of LAPD cops; The Hollywood Reporter says Robinson will play one of the leads, a decorated officer who is deeply religious. Beau Bridges will headline Fox’s comedy pilot, Two Families; it centers on a man (Bridges) with two families whose two sets of adult children don’t know the others exist. Lindsay Price will star in NBC’s one-hour pilot, Lipstick Jungle, which revolves around a trio (Kim Raver, Brooke Shields, Price) of successful and fabulous women in New York....

Filmmaker Kevin Smith does not subscribe to the idea that movie franchises need to end as trilogies, teasing that one day he could very well make Clerks 4. This month, Clerks III will finally premiere in theaters after many false starts in the past with Smith’s efforts to get the sequel made. The film takes the story back to Smith’s roots, bringing back Dante O’Halloran and Jeff Anderson to reprise their roles from the previous two movies as Quick Stop clerks Dante Hicks and Randal Graves....

Gameloft, a leading developer and publisher of mobile and console games, today announced an exclusive multi-year, multi-product mobile game licensing agreement with top-tier entertainment company Marvel Entertainment. The agreement commences in 2009 with mobile games based upon the legendary comic book adventures of Spider-Man, as well as a mobile game based upon Iron Man 2, 2010’s blockbuster sequel to the $570 million worldwide box office smash. “Marvel has introduced some of the most iconic and renowned characters ever created, and has successfully brought them to life via every mass-market entertainment platform available,” said Michel Guillemot, president, Gameloft....

Back in October, Glee creator Ryan Murphy confirmed that Season 6 of the hit Fox musical series will be its last. In that same report, the executive producer said that the last season of the show centered on Rachel (Lea Michele) and Finn (Cory Monteith)’s story, but that plan changed after the sudden death of Cory Monteith. While it still isn’t completely clear how the show will end now, Ryan Murphy teased more details about how he originally planned on ending the show....

As one of Hollywood’s most honored actresses, the presence of Glenn Close in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie was something of a surprise considering how many other stars of her caliber have balked at the idea of being in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not content to have been part of the biggest movie saga in cinema history, Close will now be returning to reprise her role as Nova Prime, the head of Xandar’s Nova Corps for the Disney World attraction....

There’s nothing new when it comes to The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers going up against several giant monsters in Rita Repulsa’s arsenal. In early 2022 however, the colorful team of heroes will now have to face off against the true King of Monsters in an official crossover event. Godzilla vs. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is an upcoming comic book event coming from IDW Publishing and BOOM! Studios in a partnership with Hasbro and Toho International....

While Betty White will not be here to join the party on what would have been her 100th birthday, the celebration will nevertheless continue in her honor. On Jan. 17, the Hallmark Channel will be running a marathon of some of White’s greatest episodes of The Golden Girls, in which she starred as fan favorite Rose Nylund. A 2011 film starring White will also be airing on the channel. Per Southern Living, the special programming block has been labeled “Honoring Betty White....

During their TCA Winter Tour presentation today, Hulu unveiled the first trailer for The Handmaid’s Tale Season 2, which reveals the premiere date as well. The second Season of the Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning hit series will premiere April 25th on Hulu. The April 25th premiere will feature two new episodes, and subsequent episodes released every Wednesday only on Hulu. This trailer comes just a day after the first Handmaid’s Tale Season 2 photos featuring Elizabeth Moss were unveiled....

Game of Thrones alum Sophie Turner is keeping it royal for her next big role.
