Also, Erika Marozsan nabbed the lead in the independent drama The Ivory Trade. In Henry Poole Is Here, Walters will play the mother of Henry Poole (Luke Wilson), a man who believes he only has six weeks to live....

Netflix has released the full trailer for You People. Directed by Kenya Barris, who co-wrote the film with lead star Jonah Hill, You People is a “modern love story” between a white man and a Black woman whose relationship is tested by their respective families. Last week, FX president Nick Grad revealed that their hit series Justified might end with Season 6. Now, FX CEO John Landgraf has confirmed that is the plan. Justified Season 6 has not been officially ordered by the cable network. The current Season 5 only debuted last week, with the next episode, The Kids aren’t All Right making its premiere tonight, January 14. John Landgraf made the following statement, saying that it was series creator Graham Yost and star/executive producer Timothy Olyphant who came to the decision to end the series next year....

Electronic Arts Inc. today announced that Legendary Pictures, whose successful co-productions include The Dark Knight, 300, Clash of the Titans, The Hangover and Watchmen, has acquired theatrical feature film rights to the hit videogame franchise, Mass Effect. The project will also fall under Legendary’s co-production and co-financing agreement with Warner Bros., who will distribute the film worldwide. The producers are in discussions with Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend, Thor) to draft a screenplay based on the epic science fiction game series....

Despite the hype leading up to its release this summer, Green Lantern disappeared from the public consciousness quiet quickly. It wasn’t necessarily a bomb, making $219 million globally, but it wasn’t the hit that Warner Bros. expected, and since it came and went, not much has been said about a sequel. The Green Lantern Blu-ray and Green Lantern DVD were released this past Friday, just in time for NYCC 2011. Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez have been in the middle of filming their upcoming movie Grind House in Austin, TX for a few weeks now. The movie is being directed by both Rodriguez and Tarantino. A week ago today, we reported the tragic news that beloved actor and sitcom star Alan Thicke passed away at the age of 69. The Growing Pains star suffered a heart attack while playing hockey with his 19-year-old son Carter at a Burbank, California ice skating rink. On Sunday evening, the late actor was remembered by his family and friends at a memorial service at the Thicke family home in Carpinteria, California, which was attended by the Growing Pains stars as they remembered their TV patriarch....
