Actress Samantha Barks has been confirmed to play Eponine in director Tom Hooper’s musical Les Miserables. The announcement was made in fittingly dramatic fashion by Les Miserables producer Cameron Mackintosh, who took to the London stage after Samantha Barks’ performance in Oliver! last night, and revealed she will play Eponine. Samantha Barks previously played Eponine in the Les Miserables: The 25th Anniversary Concert. She also portrayed the character during Les Miserables’ run at the West End Theater in London last year....

Leslie Nielsen, the Canadian King of Deadpan, has made audiences laugh unexpectedly, and from the unlikeliest of set-ups since 1980. His ability to take jokes seriously without even trying was his (in)formal way of method acting that resulted in seriously funny films. The Game Show Network has picked up the new series How Much is Enough?. According to The Hollywood Report, Corbin Bernsen will act as the host of this exciting new competition from BBC America. Forty half-hour episodes have been ordered. The premise finds four contestants competing against a money clock. Their goal is to guess the second highest amount on the clock, as the greediest player gets nothing. After five rounds, the two players with the most money move on to the “Final Face-Off....

Dark Sky Films, a division of MPI Media Group, announced today that in anticipation of the upcoming Halloween horror movie season, Adam Green’s Hatchet II will be distributed in theaters across the country beginning Oct 1. The film will be released without an MPAA rating, marking the widest release of an unrated genre film in more than 25 years. AMC Theatres, under its AMC independent program, will be exhibiting Hatchet II in the top 20 markets across the country....

Portman and Pendergast began the workout five months before filming, continuing to train throughout the filming process to maintain the muscle....

The Good The film recreates Philadelphia in the 70’s and it helps make Invincible njoyable yet formulaic film. The Bad No real special features hurts the value of owning this DVD, but we Philly fans can forgive it. Let me start out by saying that I am a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan, have been ever since I was little. So, with that being said I can honestly say I did not let that get in the way of my critical side when watching this movie....

Netflix has had a ton of success with their Marvel shows, which have focused on some of New York’s most notorious heroes not named Spider-Man. Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage have all landed with fans and critics so far and they will unite later this year in The Defenders. Before that happens, they need the last piece of the puzzle, which will be Danny Rand, aka Iron Fist. His series is set to hit the streaming service in a couple of months and now some new photos from the first season have made their way online....
