Legendary filmmaker Ivan Reitman passed away over the weekend at the age of 75, leaving his family, friends, and fans the world over feeling heartbroken over the loss. Original Spider-Man trilogy star Kirsten Dunst has spoken out about the pay she received for her work in the popular superhero movies. Alongside Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker, Dunst starred in those movies as Mary Jane Watson. While she’s not the titular character suiting up to fight crime, she does play a very large part in the story and it could be argued that she’s just as important. In any case, while those Spider-Man movies were huge hits at the box office, Dunst says she didn’t see much of those earnings....

Minot and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Cunningham (The Hours) adapted the story of a woman, reflecting back on one weekend in her youth when she met the love of her life, as her two daughters try to come to terms with the mother’s impending death while struggling with their own personal issues....

Producers Michael London and John Morris have acquired the rights to the Ken Auletta book Googled: The End of the World as We Know It for a feature film adaptation, according to Deadline New York. Days ahead of the Christmas holiday, Home Alone franchise star Devin Ratray has been arrested. The actor, who appeared in the original Home Alone films along with the recent reboot Home Sweet Home Alone, turned himself into the authorities in Oklahoma on Wednesday following an alleged spat with his ex-girlfriend two weeks ago. He was booked on domestic violence charges, but through his lawyer, Ratray insists that he’d only broken up with his ex, and that the incident never got violent....
