Before production started on The Flash Season 3, series star Grant Gustin revealed quite the bombshell, that the upcoming fall premiere was titled Flashpoint. Fans of the DC Comics became immediately excited, because this meant the show would be tackling the iconic Flashpoint story line, that lead into the New 52 DC comic book reboot. We’ve previously seen footage from this Flashpoint universe in the two trailers that have been released over the past few weeks, but today we have new photos from the season premiere....

The young Australia actor discusses his role in the new vampire movie based on the popular Swedish film and book One of the most anticipated movies of the fall is Let Me In, which opens in theaters on October 1st. The movie is a remake of the popular Swedish film Let the Right One in based on the book of the same name. Director Matt Reeves’ follow up to his 2008 hit Cloverfield tells the story of a lonely twelve-year-old boy who develops a relationship with a vampire child in a small town in the ‘1980s....

Kristen Johnston has joined the cast of the Regency Enterprises and Fox comedy Bride Wars, starring Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway and Candice Bergen. Johnston will play Deb, a self-absorbed, opportunistic fellow schoolteacher of Emma (Hathaway). The Hollywood Reporter says principal photography is under way in Boston for the film that revolves around two childhood best friends, Liv (Hudson) and Emma, whose engagements come at the same time. Subsequent wedding planning results in them picking the same ceremony location, New York’s Plaza Hotel, and because of a clerical error, the same date....

There are not many people who can say they have had the kind of year 2021 became for Lin-Manuel Miranda. With many actors, directors, and much of the entertainment industry itself still in recovery mode following the height of the Covid pandemic, Miranda has followed the success of his musical Hamilton, coming to Disney+ in 2020 with the release of the big-screen version of In The Heights, taking on directorial duties on the Oscar-nominated Tick, Tick…Boom!...

Geena Davis had nothing but praise for Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum. Davis will appear in Pussy Island, Kravitz’s directorial debut, which is expected to release in 2023 and stars Tatum. After receiving the Governors Award on behalf of the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media at Monday night’s Primetime Emmy Awards Ceremony, Davis spoke with ET, calling Tatum “incredible” and Kravitz “amazing.” Davis will appear in the upcoming film as Tatum’s assistant....

Last month, Harrison Ford revealed what he’d like to see out of Indiana Jones 5 and now it seems that a rough storyline has been hatched. BBC recently spoke to Ford, who revealed that he has agreed on a story idea for Indiana Jones 5 with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. It wasn’t clear if the story ideas Ford had previously mentioned were included in this agreement, but Ford did indicate that it would be quite some time before we saw this in theaters....

Lionsgate is developing a new TV series about how the hit social networking website Twitter was created. The project is based on Nick Bilson’s book Hatching Twitter: A True Story Of Money, Power, Friendship, And Betrayal, which was published in November. Comic-Con is officially underway in San Diego, and HBO has big plans for their upcoming series House of the Dragon​​​​​​. The show is the prequel to the wildly successful Game of Thrones which aired from 2011-2019, and HBO wants to replicate its success with the new series. The House of the Dragon logo and pictures are printed on thousands of hotel key cards that attendees will be using, and the project managed to snag a spot in the Hall H panel set for July 23rd....

Dane Cook let it slip at the recent Mr. Brooks press junket that his next film would be Bachelor No. 2. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Howard Deutch, of Pretty in Pink fame, is going to direct the film. Dane Cook had this to say about the project, “We’re going to star filming in July. We’re casting it now. Its sort of in the same vein as Bad Santa. It’s about a prick that seems to have no emotional attachment to anything....

Hugh Jackman and director Shawn Levy, who last worked together on the robot boxing thriller Real Steel, will join forces again for an untitled project at 20th Century Fox. Lost executive producer Carlton Cuse is writing the screenplay, which is his first feature project since Lost went off the air. No plot details were given, although it is said to be in the action-adventure genre. Shawn Levy will direct the untitled movie and produce it through his 21 Laps Entertainment banner....

CBS’s new drama Intelligence debuted to 16.59 million viewers, making it the most-watched new series premiere of the season, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Tuesday, Jan. 7. At 9:00 PM, the premiere of Intelligence was first in viewers (16.59m), adults 25-54 (3.7/08) and adults 18-49 (2.4/06). Intelligence posted the season’s largest audience for a new series premiere and the time period’s best drama delivery in adults 25-54 since Sept....

I saw this movie with 5 friends. Three of them found it tedious and a huge bore. Myself and the other two, thought it was a superb film. Maybe it’s the history of the war genre itself, the blood, guts and mayhem that we’re so used to seeing in a war film, that led them to find this flick a snoozefest. I don’t think the marketing campaign, the TV spots and trailers filled with the few minutes of actual “battle” footage, helped too much, probably giving my friends who disagree with me false expectations....

For one, he started off in the indie drama world, and not only does he write and direct most of his films, but he also serves as the director of photography and, sometimes, the editor as well.
