Every couple of months, we like to check in on action icon and all-around good guy Jason Statham. This time, we grilled him at the press junket for his upcoming heist film The Bank Job. While we will have more from Jason on that film in the near future, he did fill us in on his busy production slate. Here, he talks about all of his future projects including Death Race, Crank 2, The Transporter 3, and The Brazilian Job....

Ken Jennings was expertly trolled by a Jeopardy! contestant earlier this week. Jennings is a Jeopardy! wizard, not many people would dispute that, but one contestant decided to remind the current host of his biggest mistake. The highest-earning American game show contestant of all time is currently taking over hosting duties for Alex Trebek, who sadly passed away in November of 2020 after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. Jennings is one of many who will be guest hosting throughout 2021....

There will never be any “replacing” Alex Trebek, but many viewers watching Jeopardy! this week were left impressed by Mayim Bialik as a guest host. A former child star known for her starring roles on the popular sitcoms Blossom and The Big Bang Theory, many fans may not know the actress is a brilliant neuroscientist in real life as well. She earned her Ph.D. in neuroscience from UCLA in 2007 after previously earning a Bachelor’s Degree....

Director John Carpenter is celebrating a spooky reunion of sorts these days. The acclaimed filmmaker of horror posted a collection of pictures of himself on Instagram alongside the original Ford LTD station wagon used in his 1978 classic Halloween. Fans may remember slasher Michael Myers famously steals the station wagon after he escaped from Smith’s Grove Sanitarium and then goes on a killing spree in the fictitious killing field town of Haddonfield, Illinois....

Could Jim be returning for The Office revival at NBC? The network hasn’t called John Krasinski yet, but he’s ready to take the call and is totally willing for another go with the Dunder Mifflin gang. We reported in December that the network is in the early stages of putting together a revival season of The Office, which is expected to include some original cast members and some new ones. It’s unclear at this time if they want Krasinski back as Jim, but in a new interview, the actor-turned-director reveals that he’s more than happy to participate in The Office revival....

With a recent resurgence in popularity, collectors are shelling out to get their hands on Johnny Depp movie props. Per TMZ, a “scissorhand” used by Depp in the Tim Burton classic Edward Scissorhands was recently put up for auction where it was expected to sell for about $30,000 to $50,000. The prop ultimately sold for $81,250, much higher than those early estimates. Reportedly, the results of Depp’s recent defamation trial with ex-wife Amber Heard further increased the interest in the Edward Scissorhands auction....

According to Variety, in what would be her first onscreen role since 2004’s Ocean’s Twelve, Julia Roberts is circling Universal’s Charlie Wilson’s War. Roberts is in early talks to board the project with her Closer director Mike Nichols. She’d star with Tom Hanks, who is producing the film with Playtone partner Gary Goetzman. Hanks declared last year that he’d play Charlie Wilson, the rogue Texas congressman who oversaw the covert funding of the Afghan rebels in their battle against the Soviet Union....

Few sitcoms have ever reached the stratospheric success of The Big Bang Theory. The show was one of the most-watched series worldwide for most of its twelve season run and spawned the spinoff Young Sheldon which continues to this day. One of the leads of The Big Bang Theory, Kaley Cuoco, recently explained why she still gets too emotional watching the later seasons of the show. Kaley Cuoco was a standout character from the show, playing the role of Penny, the pretty but not-too-intelligent waitress who befriends a group of geeky scientists from across the hall of her apartment....

Knives Out 2 is the one that got away for Kaley Cuoco. The Flight Attendant star recently revealed that she was really “devastated” after not being cast in the Daniel Craig-led mystery sequel, as she believed that she was in line to join the large list of stars that includes Edward Norton, Dave Bautista, Ethan Hawke, Kathryn Hahn, and Kate Hudson. During an interview with Glamour magazine, the actress touched on how it was unusual for her to be so affected by not getting a role, but she had really convinced herself that she was Greece-bound, so the rejection proved one of the hardest she has had to take....

The return of Eddie Murphy to the Beverly Hills Cop franchise is continuing to pull in some big names for the Netflix revival, with the ever-popular Kevin Bacon the latest star joining Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley. With Murphy back in the title role, and being joined by Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Paul Reiser and Branson Pinchot all reprising their franchise roles, the production is already well underway after being stalled for a number of years since switching from Paramount to Netflix in 2019....

2929 Prods. has teamed with Dana Brunetti and Kevin Spacey of Trigger Street Prods. and author Ben Mezrich, picking up two projects from the team behind the gambling hit 21. Brunetti and Spacey are producing via Trigger Street and 2929 is financing. According to The Hollywood Reporter, first up is Ugly Americans, based on Mezrich’s 2004 nonfiction book. The story follows an American who takes a job in Hong Kong with an investment banker and realizes his boss is in cahoots with organized crime and is embezzling from the company – a situation even more precarious when he finds himself promoted to become his boss’s right hand man....

Mandate Pictures has acquired an original screenplay by Diablo Cody, Lamb of God, which will mark her feature directorial debut. Mason Novick ((500) Days of Summer) will produce. Mandate president Nathan Kahane will executive produce alongside Diablo Cody. Mandate has the project on the fast track and will begin casting right away. The comedy follows a young conservative religious woman who loses her faith after a plane crash, decides to go to Las Vegas to live the life of a sinner, and on her journey finds her way back to her faith....

The director dishes on the sequel and being a female director… who can fight Lexi Alexander is certainly not your typical female film director. The German-born filmmaker is a former world champion in both karate and kickboxing. Her short film Johnny Flynton was nominated for an Oscar in 2003, which paved the way for her phenomenal feature debut, Green Street Hooligans, which I love more every time I see it. Now she’s at the helm of her first studio picture, directing Punisher: War Zone....

Ryan Gosling is set to star, and George Clooney set to direct and star in The Ides of March, an adaptation of the Broadway play “Farragut North”. According to Variety, Paul Giamatti, Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood are also starring. George Clooney and Grant Heslov have adapted the screenplay with playwright Beau Willimon. The Ides of March follows a young press spokesman who falls prey to backroom politics, the treacherous manipulations of veteran operatives and the seduction of a young intern....

The highly anticipated 3rd season of Stranger Things is currently filming. David Harbour and executive producer/director Shawn Levy state that the upcoming season will be “darker” while taking more risks and “experimenting” more. Earlier this week, the first images of Millie Bobby Brown on set surfaced, showing off a different look for her Eleven character. The actress also recently suffered a knee injury, so she needs a stunt double to complete a lot of tasks, including riding a bike with co-star Sadie Sink....

Gillian Anderson, known to many as Agent Scully from The X-Files, is heading to a brand new science-fiction franchise, as she prepares to appear in Doctor Who. Anderson, according to a report from London’s Daily Telegraph, will appear as The Rani, acting opposite Matt Smith’s Doctor. An insider for the show said of Anderson “Gillian obviously has a massive sci-fi following and it’s felt that it would be a major coup to have her appear in Doctor Who....

The announcement that the God of War project has finally been given the green light comes alongside planned adaptations for other video game franchises Horizon Zero Dawn, which will land on Netflix, and the racing game Gran Turismo, which has not yet been given a platform. A new trailer for the second season of Harlem has just been released. The new season, consisting of eight episodes, is set to premiere on Prime Video on Feb. 3.
