Last year, it had been reported Saturday Night Live and Ghostbuster star Leslie Jones was spearheading a relaunch of the classic ABC series, and many different networks were reportedly interested. The latest trailer for Disney and Pixar’s upcoming Toy Story spin-off, Lightyear, offers another look at the beloved Space Ranger’s first big-screen standalone adventure. Released via the official Twitter account for Lightyear, the movie will tell the story of the character who went on to inspire one of the world’s most popular toys. Lightyear revolves around the origin story of the fictional Buzz Lightyear, the character who inspired the action figure in the Toy Story franchise....

Gone in the Night has Winona Ryder donning her detective cap in an effort to seek closure. The twisting plot hopscotches through time as events are seen from different perspectives. The narrative would be interesting if the characters behaved normally. Rational thinking and self-preservation are tossed over a cliff then run over by a truck....

Marvel has released a new TV spot for Hawkeye that teases an “Avengers level threat,” at least that’s how the characters are referring to it. The 30-second teaser also really leans into the holiday aspect of this series that we’ve seen so far. You can watch the video below. Written by newcomers Tom Stourton and Tom Palmer, All My Friends Hate Me played at Tribeca this year and was released back in March. Perhaps this movie will set off a chain reaction of events in cinema and the real world....

Where words fail, music finds a way to speak. This is especially true when we think of our favorite movies and the songs that have become synonymous with the movie title. No one hears the song “Footloose” without thinking of Kevin Bacon and his iconic dance. Patrick Swayze doesn’t put Baby in a corner if “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” isn’t playing. Likewise, The Guardians of the Galaxy aren’t saving the galaxy unless the perfect playlist is playing in the background....

Howard Stern is going back to school, but not via the way of Rodney Dangerfield. According to Variety Stern will produce a remake of the 1979 film, Rock ‘N’ Roll High School. Alex Winter, who starred alongside Keanu Reeves in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, has been hired to write the remake. The original film revolved around an musically-oppressed high school who rebelled against their rock-and-roll-hating-principal, with the assistance of the punk band, The Ramones....

According to a filing obtained by Deadline on Tuesday, a woman who is suing former Saturday Night Live (SNL) cast member Horatio Sanz for sexual assault has added Jimmy Fallon, along with Tracy Morgan, to her suit. NBC was also implicated in the complaint as the official party host. The original filing claimed Sanz assaulted a woman using the pseudonym Jane Doe to protect her anonymity when she was 17 at an SNL party in 2002 where several witnesses were present....

While Halloween Ends will be the 13th movie to have used the Halloween name, 2018’s Halloween essentially ignored the events of all the previous sequels and served as a direct sequel to the original 1978 classic....

Ever since the success of Joker there has been a discussion about whether the Joaquin Phoenix-led movie needs and will get a sequel. The movie turned the superhero villain’s origin story on its head, taking away the Batman mythology and the fantastical elements that usually come with the territory, and instead delivering a disturbing psychological study of one of the DC’s greatest creation. Not only did the movie surprise everyone by blasting past $1 billion at the box office, the film also saw Phoenix pick up a Best Actor Oscar, and now it looks like a sequel may indeed be moving forward....
