MTV today announced the Season Four greenlight of its record-breaking series Jersey Shore. Set to begin production Spring 2011 in Europe, the hit show will film in Italy and air later this year. Going beyond the East Coast beachfront culture MTV viewers turned into a television phenomenon, America’s most talked about housemates are leaving the boardwalk behind for the piazzas of Italy. Poised to get their G.T.L. on abroad, ready to drop in on Vinny’s family for a famous Guadagnino dinner and excited to trade gorillas for Italian stallions, this wacky and dysfunctional family is about to turn “the beautiful country” upside down....

Jodie Sweetin is not closed off to the idea of reprising Stephanie Tanner in another 20 years. The actress, who portrayed Stephanie during Full House’s original series’ season run and its 2016 sequel Fuller House, recently talked with E! News about the franchise’s future. Full House premiered in 1987 and starred Bob Saget as Danny Tanner, the widowed father of three young girls. He calls on two friends Jesse (John Stamos) and Joey (Dave Coulier), to move in and assist him in raising his daughters....

John Oliver will take over as guest host of The Daily Show on Monday, June 10 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT. Oliver will serve as host of the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning series for the eight weeks of original episodes that are scheduled during Jon Stewart’s hiatus to direct his first feature film, Rosewater. Stewart will return on Tuesday, September 3. Scheduled guests for Oliver’s first week include Seth Rogen (June 10), Armando Iannucci (June 11), a musical performance by Mavis Staples (June 12) and Fareed Zakaria (June 13)....

Joy Behar is facing backlash after her Halloween costume from the 1970s as a “beautiful African woman” resurfaced. The co-host of The View unveiled the photo of herself on an episode of the talk show back in 2016 for a segment where she was talking about how naturally curly her hair is. The clip didn’t make too many waves when the show first aired three years ago, but the issue of blackface has been in the news quite a bit lately, most notably with an image of Democratic Virginia Governor Ralph Northam from the 1980s resurfacing....

The actress plays her most adult role yet in the new horror film Julia Stiles plays her most adult role yet in The Omen. She’s been in quite a few films, but this is the first one to break her out of the youth-oriented characters. No one will forget Lee Remmick’s fantastic performance in the original, but Julia holds her own against some acting heavyweights. She co-stars with Liev Shreiber, Mia Farrow, and the English all-stars, Michael Gambon, Pete Postlewaite, and David Thewlis....

Justin Bartha (The Hangover) gives fans more reason to anticipate a third National Treasure film. While the last movie was nearly 15 years ago, Bartha confirms with People that there is a script for the third film, and he has read the script. Bartha says that he has worked developing the scripts with National Treasure director Jon Turteltaub, who he calls the “unsung hero of these movies,” but there is no information yet about a potential plot for the film....

Pippa Lee is getting quite a bit of talented company. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the acting foursome of Keanu Reeves, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Alan Arkin and Monica Bellucci have all signed on for The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. Robin Wright Penn has already signed on as the title character, and Julianne Moore and Winona Ryder have joined the cast as well. The film will be written and directed by Rebecca Miller, daughter of the playwright Arthur Miller and wife to Daniel Day-Lewis, based off her own novel of the same name....

If you’re upset that Constantine 2 hasn’t happened yet, don’t blame Keanu Reeves. The actor is well aware of the fan interest in seeing him reprise the role of John Constantine, and in the past, Reeves has been rather open about his desire to revisit that character as well. Despite years of rumors and false starts, however, Constantine 2 just can’t seem to get off the ground. This hasn’t been for a lack of trying on Keanu’s part....

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has confirmed that Marvel Studios will be heading back to San Diego Comic-Con this year for the first time since 2019. According to Collider, the Marvel Universe panel will once again be held in Hall H on Saturday, July 23, 2022, and will include a big announcement during the event. Feige’s confirmation that Marvel Studios will be at this year’s SDCC was made during a press conference for the upcoming Thor: Love & Thunder, arriving in theaters on July 8, 2022....

TNT is getting ready to roll out its latest drama series, Perception, starring Eric McCormack as Daniel Pierce, a brilliant but troubled professor who helps the FBI solve their most bizarre cases. LeVar Burton also appears in the recurring role of Paul Haley, the dean of Daniel’s college and a close personal friend to the professor. The actor recently participated in a conference call to discuss the new show, debuting Monday, July 9 at 10 PM ET with the Season 1 Premiere, and its connections to his previous shows like Star Trek: The Next Generation and the award-winning mini-series Roots....

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release the action-packed superhero box office hit Ghost Rider, which has grossed over $200 million worldwide on DVD, Blu-ray Disc™ and PSP™ on June 12, 2007. Two versions will be released on DVD: the one-disc theatrical version and a two-disc extended cut with 15 minutes of never-before-seen footage and over two hours of special features. Based on Marvel Comic’s popular series, the film stars Nicolas Cage (National Treasure), Eva Mendes (2 Fast 2 Furious), Wes Bentley (American Beauty), Sam Elliott (Hulk), Donal Logue (Zodiac) and Peter Fonda (Easy Rider) in this high-octane adventure....

The Adam Sandler movie machine is its own brand, and it has been going strong since the mid-90s. While he has made a ton of movies over the years, he doesn’t typically revisit any for sequels. One of the few exceptions to this is Grown Ups. Released in 2010, the film got roasted by critics, but obviously made enough money to justify a sequel, and both movies are shown on cable ad nauseam....

Halo, Paramount+’s streaming series based on the iconic video games, follows the legendary Spartan super soldier John (Pablo Schreiber), A.K.A. The Master Chief: the green, mean, alien-slaughtering machine as he travels the galaxy and, you know, slaughtering aliens. At least, that’s what fans were expecting, based on the games. The series disappointed more than a few as the show progressed, being filled with inconsequential side-plots, little and underwhelming action, and confusing canon changes....

On the heels of renewing seven shows, ABC has made it eight, handing out a Season 3 order for Happy Endings. The show debuted last April with a 12-episode first season. Most of the episodes aired back-to-back over its seven-week run. The network gave the comedy series a full order this season, and Season 3 will follow suit with a 22-episode order. The Happy Endings renewal completely solidifies the network’s Wednesday night comedy block, which also includes The Middle, Suburgatory, and Modern Family....

The fictional character Hello Kitty was introduced in 1974 by the Japanese company Sanrio. Yuko Shimizu, a Japanese designer, created the character that now has a franchise of everything from clothing and accessories to toys and games — and that’s not even the end. The fictional feline has already had a number of television programs and TV movies, and now she’ll be making her theatrical debut in an upcoming film. The currently untitled Hello Kitty movie, directed by Jennifer Coyle and Leo Matsuda, was planned years ago and in 2021 Deadline provided an update, so while its release is yet to be determined, it’s possible it could come out this year or next....

Riding on the coattails and intentionally bad wigs of Mel Brooks’s classic comedy/parody History of the World Part I, the official trailer for History of the World Part II dropped this week and promises more of the culturally inappropriate and historically irreverent laughs that characterized his 1981 film. Starting from the teaser’s initial bit, in which the co-writer/executive producer subtly mocks the presumable senility of his age, and launching into a Catholic Church marketing meeting, Hulu offers a roughly two-minute fever dream of a glimpse into an all-star ensemble including Danny DeVito, Johnny Knoxville, Seth Rogan, Wanda Sykes, and Taika Waititi....

The much-anticipated Game of Thrones prequel series, House of the Dragon, is set to premiere on August 21st, focusing on the first Targaryen Civil War known as the Dance of the Dragons. The ending of Game of Thrones was one of the most controversial final seasons in television history, largely due to rushed storytelling, forgotten character arches, and poorly written dialogue that was unfitting for a show that seasons ago was praised for its outstanding writing....

The title for I Know Who Killed Me ended up being prescient in more ways than one. In a story from DavisDVD, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will bring out this Lindsay Lohan vehicle on November 27. This movie will also come out on Blu-ray Disc the same day. Synopsis: Lohan plays Aubrey, the young daughter of affluent parents who is abducted and mutilated by a sadistic serial killer. She manages to escape, sans a hand and a leg and lots of blood....
