With just three months left to go before its theatrical release, many are wondering why we’ve only seen one Green Lantern teaser trailer this close in, and not much else. Turns out, director Martin Campbell’s highly anticipated DC comics adaptation starring Ryan Reynolds is having its marketing campaign delayed by the massive Visual and Special effects work needed to finish the movie. Unlike many directors who haven’t the slightest what their next project is, Guillermo del Toro is solidly booked through 2017. According to Variety, Universal has a three-year first-look deal with the director that was inked in June 2007 - with at least four directing projects, including remakes of Frankenstein, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Slaughterhouse-Five. The fourth project is an adaptation of Drood, a Dan Simmons novel acquired by Universal that will be published in February by Little, Brown....

It’s been confirmed that season 4 of Harley Quinn will premiere on HBO Max in 2023. Originally, the adult animated series premiered its first two seasons in 2019 and 2020 on the defunct streaming service DC Universe before making the move to HBO Max ahead of season 3. The wait for that third season would take more than two years, finally premiering on HBO Max in July. The next month, it was officially renewed for season 4....

DC Studios chief James Gunn has revealed further details regarding what appeared to be a sudden hiring-and-firing of Man of Steel star Henry Cavill. History has picked up Vikings, its first scripted drama series for a 10-episode second season, it was announced today by Dirk Hoogstra, EVP, Development and Programming for History. Jeff Daniels was born in Georgia in 1955, and shortly thereafter moved to Michigan with his family. In his later years, Daniels briefly attended Central Michigan University where he was involved with the theater program. In 1976, he enrolled at the Eastern Michigan University drama school.
