Iron Fist star Finn Jones and showrunner M. Raven Metzner have addressed the cancellation of the show. It was abruptly announced late Friday night that Netflix cancelled the Marvel show after only two seasons. The news came as a shock to fans who enjoyed Season 2, which was received far better than the first season. The cast and crew of Iron Fist were notified only a few hours before the announcement was made public....
After a 71-day shoot, a wrap has been called on a highly anticipated sequel. According to Marvel.com, Iron Man 2 wrapped principal photography on July 18. The site spoke with producer and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige about the production. “Shooting Iron Man 2 was a fantastic experience and we couldn’t be happier. Although there were many challenges in making this film, having Jon Favreau, Robert Downey, Gwyneth Paltrow and almost the entire crew from the first film back on board, allowed us to hit the ground running as everyone was instantly familiar with each other from day one,” Feige told the site....
The new Universal Studios comedy It’s Kind of a Funny Story will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on February 8. While it was recently confirmed that Ghostbusters 3 would start production this year, for a 2010 release, it still wasn’t clear on who would direct the film… until now. MTV Movies Blog has confirmed that Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2 director Ivan Reitman will complete the trilogy and direct Ghostbusters 3. Reitman also revealed that the script by Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg has recently been completed, but would not delve into specifics about the story....

A relentless internet campaign calling for Morbius to return to theaters has turned out to be a success, even if most of those taking part seemed to have been doing so in jest. Morbius did not exactly have the warmest reception when it was originally released back in April. As the jury reached a verdict in the defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, both parties were quick to react to the decision reached in the case. While both stars were found to have defamed each other, there was an overwhelming ruling in Depp’s favor, with the jurors deciding that all of the claims put forward by the Pirates of the Caribbean star were true. Actor Jon Bernthal is in early talks to join Frank Darabont’s new TNT pilot L.A. Noir. These talks have just recently begun, so it isn’t certain that a deal will be made. If he signs on, Jon Bernthal will play Jon Teague, an LAPD cop who is in the middle of his department’s ongoing war with gangster Mickey Cohen in the 1940s and 1950s. John Oliver’s brand of social and political commentary won’t be going off the airwaves any time soon. HBO has renewed Last Week Tonight with John Oliver for another three seasons, which will carry the talk show through 2023 on the network. Season 7 is currently airing so with three more seasons, the series will at least run through season 10.
