Fan favorite actress Keke Palmer has reportedly been cast for a role in Moxie. Per Deadline, Palmer is poised to join Hawkeye director Bert for the action comedy film in a role that is yet to be announced. The movie’s plot revolves around a foul-mouthed stripper who annoys the FBI by becoming the best candidate for their fancy new agent program. The script was written by Heather Quinn, and it will be produced by Palmer, Peter Lawson, and Kate Churchill....

NBC has picked up the new drama “LOLA” (Law & Order: Los Angeles) as well as renewed Law & Order: Special Victims Unit for the 2010-11 season. In addition, NBC will end its historic and record-tying Law & Order when the mothership series concludes its 20th season on Monday, May 24 (10-11 p.m. ET). The announcements were made today by Angela Bromstad, President, Primetime Entertainment, NBC and Universal Media Studios....

Len Wiseman has signed on to produce the futuristic detective thriller Shell Game for Lakeshore Entertainment and Sony’s Columbia Pictures. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Shell Game, set in the future, is about a detective who is faced with a moral dilemma while investigating the dangerous black-market business of immortality. Wiseman and Chris Morgan (The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift) are rewriting the original screenplay by Justin Biondi and Andrew Ludington....

Oscar-winning producer Lili Fini Zanuck is set to direct the film adaptation of John O’Brien’s 1996 novel Assault on Tony’s, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Assault on Tony’s is about to start casting with the goal of entering production by year’s end. The dark novel by O’Brien, the author of Leaving Las Vegas, revolves around five white patrons who are barricaded in a bar called Tony’s for 17 days while a race riot rages....

Here’s some more cinematic grist for the rumor mill. Pause.com recently spoke to a studio source who claimed that Linda Hamilton, who portrayed Sarah Connor in The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day, has signed a three-picture deal to appear in Terminator Salvation and subsequent sequels… or did she? Later on, the story was updated with a mention that the site was contacted by a representative for Hamilton, who said that was the first they’ve heard of it....

Earlier today, we reported that Lindsay Lohan will no longer play Victoria Gotti in Gotti: Three Generations. Now Lindsay Lohan is back on the project, only now she will portray Kim Gotti, the wife of John Gotti Jr. It seems the actresses rep’s were being a bit too difficult with Fiore Films producer Marc Fiore, which lead to the talks breaking down. However, Lindsay Lohan apparently wanted to be involved in the project so badly she personally smoothed things over with the producer....

Like all huge summer releases, especially those in the superhero genre, the DC Comic Book adaptation Green Lantern is getting its own video game spin-off complete with a digitally rendered Ryan Reynolds (as Hal Jordan). Warner Bros. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 finally hit theaters at midnight last night, and, just hours into its opening weekend release, box office records have fallen. The Hogwarts finale has taken in an estimated $43.5 million in midnight shows alone. The Warner Bros. adventure shattered the midnight record set just over a year ago by The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which took in $30 million during its midnight screenings....

In a story from Variety it seems that HBO is putting together a film that is inspired by the writings of former Rolling Stones producer and manager Andrew Loog Oldham. The cable network optioned Oldham’s biography, Stoned and 2Stoned. The film is being written and executive produced by Wesley Strick. They are describing the project as a “fictional account of a young man living the high life with artists and hipsters in London’s vibrant Soho scene in the early 1960s....

The Alien franchise has had its fair share of ups and downs, with the first two entries in the franchise being labeled as two of the greatest movies of all time, but the later entries are considered very disappointing and kind of forgettable. Kicking off the franchise in 1979, Ridley Scott delivered the iconic and terrifying horror movie; Alien. The movie was a huge success critically and commercially, and it quickly gained a huge fan base, which then led to many sequels, novelizations, comic books, video games, and even crossovers with the classic ’80s action franchise, Predator....

Humphrey Bogart: The Signature Collection, Vol. 1 contains the following four films: Casablanca The Treasure of the Sierra Madre High Sierra They Drive By Night. While the first two titles are the more known out of this batch, this is a nice mix of films to give people who might be unfamiliar with who this iconic actor was....
