I Am Legend Graphic Novel To Be Reprinted

When IDW Publishing first released its graphic adaptation of I Am Legend, Richard Matheson’s classic 1954 novel of terror, isolation and vampirism, the trade paperback became an immediate best-seller and quickly sold out. Now IDW will resurrect the out-of-print books with a new deluxe collection that showcases the original novel’s vision in advance of the December film adaptation of I Am Legend starring Will Smith, from Warner Bros. Pictures. The story of the last man on an Earth overrun by undead has seen life as a movie several times already, including the Vincent Price 1964 chiller The Last Man on Earth, which Matheson disliked so much that he removed his name from the writing credits, and Charlton Heston’s The Omega Man, a 1971 film that instead became a commentary on modern society at the expense of the tale’s vampiric elements....

Imagi Studios Bringing Fluorescent Black To Print And Screen

Imagi Animation Studios, the Hong Kong- and Los Angeles-based group behind TMNT, has acquired all rights to the screenplay Fluorescent Black, Variety reports. The script written by sci-fi writer and maker of film shorts Matt Wilson, will first be adapted as a graphic novel to be illustrated by Nathan Fox with text by Wilson.
