A sales synopsis has been unearthed for the upcoming Marvel sequel Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, which finds Nicolas Cage returning as Johnny Blaze in an all-new adventure written and directed by the dynamic duo of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. The synopsis is short and sweet, and it doesn’t give much insight into the forthcoming story. But it does offer a hint at what we might expect. Apparently Johnny will have a ten-year-old sidekick this time around....

Following a somewhat similar theme to The Fugitive, Traveler tells the story of Jay (Matthew Bomer), Tyler (Logan Marshall-Green) and Will (Aaron Stanford). These guys are three friends from graduate school who head off for one final fandango before they’ve got to assume high paying jobs in the real world. They stop off in New York City and go to an art museum where they videotape themselves pulling off a stunt....

Lone Shark Games, in conjunction with Wired Magazine and Universal Pictures, is looking for a few creative, honest, adventurous people to go on the run starting in late February. Ars Technica and The Digital Bits report that consumers are going to have to wait a little bit longer to own their Blu-ray and HD-DVD players. It appears that the final specification for the Advanced Access Content System (AACS) has yet been postponed a little longer. This spec is used on both HD-DVD and Blu-ray Discs. Why is this spec holding everything up? Well, because it deals with a “security specification” that both devices share to guard against piracy....

After two live-action interpretations of The Fantastic Four from 20th Century Fox, Marvel’s First Family will finally appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A Fantastic Four film reboot was announced by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019. In late 2020, Feige also revealed that Spider-Man director, Jon Watts, will be directing the film. While The Fantastic Four may be beloved in the world of comics, their cinematic counterparts have not received the same amount of love....

Hocus Pocus 2 has been a massive success for Disney in terms of viewership, even if audiences haven’t been quite as complimentary about the sequel as the classic original. The Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder will star in the romantic gothic fairy tale Cradlewood for Hand Picked Films and Instinct Entertainment. Harry Weinmann is on board to direct the indie feature. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie centers on an Australian woman living in Boston with the heir (Somerhalder) to an incredible fortune whose family history is swirled in a legend that tells of a pact made with a demon which ensures that whenever a boy is born into the family, the father is killed....

The Good A solid film that seems to have been sadly overlooked. The Bad Paltry deleted scenes.Edward (Bill Milner) is a young lad who is living the life of a boy many years his age. He stays in his family run retirement home and due to his life circumstances (his mom struggling to keep the business going and his father dealing with personal problems) spends a lot of time alone. Things change when Edward crosses paths with Clarence (Michael Caine)....

You can bring home one beloved holiday classic home in a new and improved version this November. It’s a Wonderful Life will be re-released on DVD and will debut on Blu-ray on November 3. We don’t have pricing details or cover art as of yet, but the Blu-ray will contain both the standard black and white version and a new colorized version of the film as well. The film stars James Stewart, Donna Reed, Lionel Barrymore, Henry Travers, Thomas Mitchell, Ward Bond and Gloria Grahame....

In a story from USA Today, writer/director Jason Reitman (Juno) is currently adapting Joyce Maynard’s new novel, Labor Day. The book takes place at the end of summer in Holton Mills, New Hampshire. A thirteen-year-old boy named Henry, who has no friends and is very lonely, passes the time watching TV and thinking “about the soft skin and budding bodies of his female classmates.” Things become different on the Thursday before Labor Day when Henry helps a mysterious bleeding man, and for the next five days learns some valuable life lessons....

Comparing the career arcs of martial arts blockbuster icons is no easy feat, and some would argue impossible. On one hand, a side-by-side comparison of box office numbers is the brass tacks’ treatment that seems obvious.
