Keanu Reeves has signed on as the male lead for Morgan Creek’s latest project, Passengers, to be directed by Italian auteur Gabriele Muccino. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the female love interest is still being sought for what the producers short-handed as “Adam & Eve in Space.” The film also will have a couple of comedic roles and set designs created by some of the wizards who worked on Avatar....

The CBS Television Network announced today that Late Show with Stephen Colbert will debut Tuesday, Sept. 8 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) from the historic Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City. Lifetime has released a trailer and announced the premiere date for Surviving R. Kelly: The Final Chapter. The final installment in the Surviving R Kelly saga will air on January 2nd and 3rd on Lifetime starting at 8:00 p.m. ET. The Detroit Free Press has revealed that Hugh Jackman will start filming his sci-fi action adventure Real Steel in Michigan this June. We reported back in November that Zhang Ziyi was set to star in a new Wayne Wang film set in China and although Ziyi has left the film, a new male lead has come forward. CRI English is reporting, based off a report from Shanghai’s Oriental Morning Sun newspaper, that Hugh Jackman will star as the male lead in Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. It was reported that Ziyi had left the project and Li Bingbing (The Forbidden Kingdom) has replaced her and Jeon Ji-Hyun has joined the cast as well....
